Actually, the illumination kit runs about $50 or so. Red or blue are
available.
@I2awInstinct You can buy these directly from the Subaru dealer. I think
they run around 130 dollars?? Don’t quote me on that.

dont know why i didn’t install with a clothes hanger. I kept shoving the
chord for like an hour til it finally popped out of the hole hah did it
laying on my back on the floor. hurt like it bitch
Joreilly84- yes you can install the kit on your 08. It even works for the
forester. I just installed mine on my 13 WRX

Not sure if youre still checking the channel, but the kit that sels is for
2009+, this video says it works with 2008+ though ? I have an 08 and wanted
to check before i picked up the kit. thanks!
Dude thank you so much… Dealer did the install and left the harness
hanging; drives me crazy.. I feel better knowing it’s just a matter of zip
tieing.
Nope, it’s just you. 🙂 it actually sits above the OB2 port.. so it isn’t
in the way at all.. However, you have to suspend the harness upwards so
that the wires are not in the way of it.
