This comment has nothing to do with the water pump but I don't know how or where to find a place to make my comment.
I have 95 Saturn SL2. I can't find anything on it and then when I do they always look different. My sliding pin boots on my rear brake brackets I think need replacing because my pins barely move in and out when I push them by hand. The spring looking boots look okay not damaged.
1.My main question; the top pin with the inside boot does it really need to be replaced or can I go without it? Every time I push the pin in it pushes the boot out a little further on the outside.
2. If I do need to replace the boots I am thinking that I put a little bit of silicone lubricant on the outside of the boot before trying to insert it?
3. About two new brackets but I'm now realizing that I probably only needed new boots because my pins look lbrand new. Do you think it would be easier to just slide the new boots into the new brake brackets or pretty much about the same trouble sliding the boots and to the old breaking brackets just as much as the new brake brackets but only with a little preparing first of the old bracket (cleaning the inside of hole with a wire brush)?

Where can I purchase those 2 splash shield panels you took off?

Not Available says:

My original pump lasted almost 100k, but new ones last maybe 2-3 years wtf?

RobertKehl says:

Couldn’t you have just left the Belt on to loosen those 3 bolt first.

Jessica Ripley says:

Just wanted to say thanks again, I was a Saturn owner for 10 years and never needed a mechanic because of your videos. It even translated into being able to work on my Prius. You've been one of the best teachers I've had. May the wind be at your back good sir.

Jimmy S says:

4th method on the water pump pulley bolts. Just leave the belt on and loosen the bolts first. That is if the belt is good and has a good grip on the pulley. Work great on the cars I have done so far. Just rotate the engine by hand for the next bolt until they are all loose.

Great videos. How do I close air vents manually on my ION 3? Circulation button does not work.

Goody2shz says:

Richpin, you have a video for how to remove the rear seat of an '02 SL but it's coming up as "Private." I need to know how to get the rear seat out of my 02 SL, the cushion part. Can you help?

Tracy Wilfong says:

I have a 02 sl1 and I'm having an issue with it starting. All the lights come on, no clicking noise. Battery is fairly new no corrosion on the terminals. Lights don't dim down. Let it set for a while and it will start right up. Have no idea what else it could be. Starter? Solenoid?

Yo richpin is youre father still alive

Jay Bones says:

Hello Richpin06a i have a 97 SW2 Auto with new plugs wires and clean coils. 48k original miles. But under a load the car cuts out like an ignition failure or rev limiter the rom gauge will flutter and drop down to like 1k and back to 3k rapidly if i try to heavily accelerate through 3-4k. Then SES a crank code P0336. But i need a Scan tool to relearn. Anything else it could be before a trip to dealer. Thank you.
