The engineers who designed this should be shot. What a stupid place to put a thermostat.
Maybe instead of shooting them I would force them to replace the thermostat on these cars 8 hours per day for a year. Maybe then they would actually consider ease of maintenance and repair.

I know my way around cars pretty well. Just watched this for the hell of it because mine is stuck open. Glad I watched it. I would’ve found the damn thing eventually but that definitely wouldn’t have been the first place I looked lol

Thanks for the video. Those bolts were super tight I had to use some serious strength lol. I put a 41 quart tub underneath and filtered and reused my fresh 15000 mile coolant.
