rino gambino says:

your the best man keep its up

J.Reymundo Cordova says:

If the connector is faulty, will the car heat up?
what is the connector called?

richpin06a says:

Thank you.

OUfootballAuthority says:

Dude, it’s videos like this that save the average man tons of money, by letting him make repairs for himself. Rich, you sir are a Saint.

Geoff Hernandez says:

But if the coolant sensor is bad…wouldnt the car overheat…or have bad reading when the car warm up…my saturn is not overheating…just keep giving me this code…i cleaned…everything…and still gives me the code.

MikeDunn says:

Step 1: Stahhhht the cahhhh.

richpin06a says:

A bad Coolant temp sensor can set this code also.

Geoff Hernandez says:

Because it keeps giving me the code p0410…i clean everything…..and still givene that on cold strats…i think that pump sometimes start on…others dont…

Geoff Hernandez says:

How common is on those pump to brake down…do they last longer…my is 2000 saturn…would it be a good idea to replace the pump..

richpin06a says:

I think you are asking about the air pump solenoid.

Eric Hernandez says:

What is the name of the part that needs to be replaced when it has current?

Geoff Hernandez says:

Diverter valve thats the name thats the one with the dust or crap…what is that how ca i test if it is working or not…

Geoff Hernandez says:

Thnks…on the solenoid i took that tuhe that goes to the exhaust to clean it… I notice that the solenoid was full of some kind of dust or crap…yellowish what is that…how can i test that solenoid to see if it works im thinking running wires from the battery to the solenoid would tgat work…let me know thnks alot.

richpin06a says:

On the Saturn the pump turns on when the engine is cold at start up and runs for a short time then turns off.

Geoff Hernandez says:

Does this pump come on and off or stay on…if the car is on…or turn on for a moment then turn off by itself…mine is doing that…..

Danielle Williams says:

I have followed so many of your steps to clearing codes and just working on my own vehicle. I fixed several issues that my car had and I recently just changed my O2 sensor but my check engine light was still on, so I went and had it checked and it was trouble code P0410. I had the code cleared but would it be best to follow the steps above?

Geoff Hernandez says:

My pump doesnt move..and i have this code too p0113 and p0108 whats that would u please tell me..where are they located…great videos ur alot of help thnks.

richpin06a says:

If you have this code and air is coming out of the pump then you have to check for blockage down stream.

terry blake says:

I have a 2004 gmc envoy. pump seems to be working there are no vacuum hoses on the valve I do have air to the valve what do I do next The bolts look pretty rusted I am afraid they will break off

richpin06a says:

A higher percentage of pollution will come out of the tail pipe.

Geoff Hernandez says:

What happen if air pump is bad

ministerkareemc says:

Can you help with my 01 Cadillac Deville DHS… I just recently had my catalytic converter, and all three o 2 sensors changed…. Air pump also is less then a year old… I can’t pass inspection with the Code and service engine soon light in… Please help

JHowToHd says:

Hey i have a gmc envoy 2003 and there is a ticking sound any thing it might be ?

IamiLBIEAST says:

Ok I’ll have to go to the part store and get a cap that screws on. Still have to run these steps on my car, great video!

richpin06a says:

The cap on the service port screws on.

IamiLBIEAST says:

Yes, does the cap need to be that same one or any cap? I have just a little one that slips onto that end of the switch.

IamiLBIEAST says:

Yes I believe

richpin06a says:

Are we taking about the black cap on the service port for the air conditioning system.

IamiLBIEAST says:

Was the black thing a cap? To the right of the red thing? Because I have it capped off ob mine and I’m not sure if that’s right

MIRRISful says:

I have ? How to relocate secondary Air Pump from Envoy 2004?

dhippstarr says:

I am new to Saturn automobiles, but in love with my 2001 sc2. I just subscribed to your channel and will always check you first for trouble shooting advice. realy great info… THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU……..

timothy quiroz says:

i have a 2001 jimmy. Trouble shooting air pump, took hose off of check valve on pump side. In stead of injection I got suction. ???

richpin06a says:

What is common is water gets into the pump air intake and makes the pump go bad.

richpin06a says:

If there is voltage to the pump the relay is ok and you bench tested it and it ran so that leaves only the black ground wire at the pump as the potential problem.

richpin06a says:

There should be air flow going into the diverter valve (good pump) and air flow coming out of the diverter vale (good valve + solenoid)

richpin06a says:

Did you check for air flow out of the rubber hose to the diverter valve.

Will6721 says:

Is this my wife’s car hesitates in the beginning when I hit the gas? It threw this code about 3 weeks after the tune up and i have taken it to two mechanics who have replaced alot of sensors but it hasnt cured the issue? She has a 2001 Saturn sl2

Cathleen Couch says:

Hi, I followed this video and realized I needed a new pump. I bought a used one, installed it and it sounds like a jet engine for roughly 45 seconds! All hoses were re attached tightly and the air flow and vacuum are good. Is that high pitch sound a sign of a dying pump or could it be something else? Thanks!

richpin06a says:

That P0410 can be tricky hope it all works out ok.

uncle freddie says:

richpin! I love you man! this is probably the 4th or 5th time you’ve helped me out with either my 2002 Saturn SL2 (I no longer have), 2002 SL1 (I currently drive), and my dodge Dakota!!! I wouldn’t have even known where to look for these parts on my Saturn. your videos help out tremendously, gonna try to tackle this soon. thanks soooo much for your posts!

richpin06a says:

I have heard the o2 sensor sometimes can be responsible for this code.

richpin06a says:

Glad you found the problem.

cwz0000000 says:

Good video I followed everything checks fine. Pipe did have some carbon buildup cleaned that. Cleared the code, drove around & P0410 came back. My idle will randomly dip couple notches and go back to normal in like a second. Would a mucked up exhaust manifold also do that ? Wanted to leave removing & cleaning it to the end. Thanks!

Jon Carey says:

ya ended up being a bad ground. thanks!

richpin06a says:

The only two pins left in the relay socket are the one from the computer to turn on the relay on and the one that goes to the air pump.

Jon Carey says:

and there are 2 power sources going to the relay with currant.

Jon Carey says:

I have no voltage going to the pump but there is currant going through the fuse. the wiring looks good. any Ideas?

Ed Meho says:

drove about 5more miles ses back i but i don’t care since it passed testing
