Thanks Michael for the video. I will be doing this in my 2004 Vue and looks
strait forward with common safety precautions. Thanks for taking the time
to make it.
Cheers.

First, thanks Michael for sharing this! A few additional
thoughts/suggestions: If you are uncomfortable with handling the
installation of changing the struts by compressing the springs, know that
you can purchase the entire assembly. These are actually called strut
mounts (please do not confuse them with quick struts, as that is a name
trademarked by Monroe), which has the strut and spring already assembled
together, and you can seriously reduce your time and frustration greatly.
As of this post, there is a sale going on with Gabriel, where if you
purchase (4) of their parts at any retailer, you can receive 20% off the
entire purchase price. The parts are easily found at Gabriels website, but
G57101 and G57102 are the part numbers. Summit Racing equipment has them
for sale, and they’re not super expensive. With the rebate, you can
replace all 4 on your Vue, and pay under $300 for the parts. Also, the
bolts that Michael is referring to are not that expensive and as he
mentions, GM strongly recommends that you replace them after removing
them. The part numbers for these are: 22600725, and the nuts (no, they do
not include the nuts when purchasing the bolts) have the part # 11516382.
You can order them from any GM dealership parts center, or you can order
them online from several websites, including Amazon. Cheers!

Around 7:50 you mention there is a spacer and then you don’t use the
spacer. Any particular reason why? (it’s sitting over by your vice grips
on the ground)
