That rubber or poly choice can usually apply to the end link bushings, as
well….
I have found that switching to polyurethane made the biggest improvement in
steering ;performance, but they may be noisier than original stock rubber
components.
It’s worth noting that most stock bushings are rubber and that you can get
replacements that are either rubber or polyurethane. The polyurethane are
higher performance (tighter and less distortion) and usually last forever.
They may be noisier and harsher riding, but will probably perform better
if you like crisp handling.
Its hard to say, it could be sway bar end links, or bushings..It could also
be the bushings in your control arm if equipped! Jack up that side and put
your arms in the 3′ and 9 oclock positions and wiggle it.. than in the 12′
and 6 position and wiggle again, look for clicking feel and or popping
while doing this and go from there. GL
Great video man. My cars front driver side tire makes a metal “jingle”
noise any time it goes over a bump or small pothole, someone told it it
might be the sway bars or the bushings, do you think that might be the
issue. Its a Saturn L300 2001
5 star Video. Clear & Concise. What I really liked is the fact you torqued
down bolts to exact measurement. That tells me you have been trained
correctly or taught correctly. Make more.
Got mine done Saturday! The clunk went away! However, after actually having
my hands in there, I can’t understand WHAT was making the clunk noise. Is
it the bracket moving around?
It’s hard to find a video that has both complete and concise information.
You have hit that balance perfectly. Also, thanks for not using annoying
music!
So great video but did it solve the clunk sound?
finally a decent sway bar bushes video!! Seen about 8 videos before this
and they were all crap. Thanks for making it so clear!! :)
