You may have to support the engine and drop the cradle down so you can get the bar into the vehicle.
I’m trying to replace a stabilizer bar on a 07 v6 Saturn. Having a terrible time feeding it through. Do you have to drop the frame which will drop the motor to do this? Or am I just missing something. Anyone that’s been through this help.
Sometimes they will make a thumping noise, or you you try to move them from side-to-side by hand, they may have some play in them. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

hey a quick tip after you get the shaft lose from the hub turn the steering wheel all the way so the tie rod is out this gives you more room to work and makes it easier to pull the halfshaft out less fighting with it.
this has worked well for me on many occasions
No you should not have to us a jack to keep the ball joint from spinning. If it is spinning, you might have a bad ball joint.
Was the jack used on the ball joint to keep it from spinning while tightening it up?
GOOD!
The other day at school I did this to a Acura TL and I took a transmission jack and used it to hold the strut and rotor assembly out of the way and I had a straight shot at it for re installation.
