sergeantfunk52 says:

@kwacz Yeah, I don’t think ill have to use a torch or grinder though cause
I mean there is nothing wrong with my muffler right now, I just might get a
louder one just for a project to do on my car you know? Figure I gotta have
something creative to do in the off-time of college. I just don’t know how
i’m gonna get the old muffler off.

cupofrice says:

friggin’ butter

kwacz says:

@philromo13 like i said, there are alternative tools to use instead. the
exhaust has a lifetime warranty that yes also coversa it rotting out so i
will never pay for another exhaust again. the salt here in buffalo eats
them out in a couple of years.

blake bouldin says:

Just just a dremel cutoff wheel and cut two parts on opposite sides of the
clamp and it just falls right off. Even a rusted 92 econoline van. Way
easier than using plasma under your car. That would scare the **** out of me

kwacz says:

@probegt75 i have the plasma cutter because i do a lot of custom metal
fabrication etc. it was not bought for vehicle repair, but why not use it
if i have it. it makes the job easier. that is why in the video i gave
alternative tools to use instead of plasma.

Ronmanx213 says:

i loled at 1:38 his voice cracks haha ! no disrespect i jus think its funny

TommyChevyBugle says:

wouldnt it been easier instead of cutting and plasming the slevees, just to
sawzall both ends off and tack weld some adapters onto the ends of the pipes

Pastroodle says:

Crap I only have 5w-30 oil will that work for sliding the muffler on too!
LMFAO!

kwacz says:

@sergeantfunk52 i just used the plasma torch because i had it already, but
you can use a grinder or other toool in its place. i understand that most
people do not have a plasma torch, but you definately don’t need one, you
can use a grinder of a sawsall or hacksaw instead. i don’t know why people
hate exhaust because i think its easy to do. Its even easier of you drive
your car up on a set of ramps. it gives you way more room to work.

blazinloud says:

thats not a flange, its bell and spigot

Great video. Very helpful, thanks!

MoreLikeCappuccino says:

Maybe he can afford a plasma cutter because he DOES NOT pay people to do
his own work

stevieg2014 says:

Wisconsin?

blackkat7073 says:

Straight pipes all the way haha.

kwacz says:

@bowtieCYRUS bought the cheap one from autozone, but a year cafter i bought
it, they changed it to a 1 year warranty. But because i bought it under the
lifetime warranty, i get it for life, but any new muffler i get only has 1
year. Before the economy crashed, they had a lot of lifetime warranties,
which are no longer offered. I always wondered how they could offer a
lifetime on anything consumable such as a muffler, but they no longer do.

gregorywayneadams says:

i bet that thing sounded bad ass when the muffler fell off! lol

Alexander Hooton says:

Do u know where u got your clamps from?

John Smith says:

@philromo13 maybe he has a plasma cutter because he likes doing his own
work the correct way rather than paying some n00b to do it half assed.

kimchijeegeah2 says:

why didn’t you remove the rear axle back from the hangers?

thejakester1982 says:

I just paid a shop a mere 0.8 hrs of labour to do that

sergeantfunk52 says:

@TheNeckasaurus Ah man, thanks for the heads up I’ll have to check that out
and see if I know anybody who I can pay to borrow one.

Moge KBD says:

Nice, now I know how to change my own muffler

bowtieCYRUS says:

Or, take your car to a muffler shop and let a professional do the job for
you for like 50-100 bucks. But, I can definitely understand doing this at
home if you have nothing better to do for two days.

johnsonlimo says:

Nice job on the video.. Volume was good and clear and the lighting was done
well. I could see everything you were doing. Professional videographers
should take note.
