The bolts for your sway bar bushing brackets are 103 ft lbs, just like lugs……

Mark Van Drunen says:

Super helpful – Thx!

Matthew Conley says:

15/16" socket is the same as the 24mm socket

B T says:

the crown nut at 706 keeps spinning for me no matter how much I tighten it I tried lifting up the whole thing with a mini jack to put a little tension on it but nothing seems to keep this thing from spinning

John Hasse says:

It seems like lining up the sway bar would work better FIRST.

Olena Erhardt says:

At 4:50 you knock out the lower control arm from the knuckle. But how did you take out from that huge bent rod (tension strut)? Also in the Haynes book they don't say to release the tension strut or unscrew those tension strut (also called a front stabilizer shaft) brackets, even when they discuss further the replacement of the whole tension strut. They don't say anything about a strap under the car, though in another film (richpin06a) the author also strapped something. Is it easier to do it that way? Is it possible to do it without unscrewing those strut-to-cradle bracket bolts?

Olena Erhardt says:

The film is very helpful. Pls could you explain more, how did you use that yellow strap (did it have hooks at both ends, or hook on one and a strap on another)? Are you supporting with this strap or you are pulling something? Is it for the purpose to put the lower control arm back? And can you just change the bushing on that arm without removing it? Thank you for the film.

kevin stettner says:

Lucky the control arm to frame bolt wasn't stuck. Those are a PITA! LOL

Chris McAllister says:

Noticed you should have replaced your sway bar bushings too. 1 was blown out for sure!

Mike Mckenzie says:

Awesome tip with the ratcheting stap

Communist USA 717 says:

My passenger side sway bar nut, it turns without unthreading, on the other side it turns. I did struts driver side control arm and both tie rod ends, I’m stuck unable to get the sway bar nut off to change my passenger side control arm. Gonna try grabbing the other side with a pipe wrench.

Communist USA 717 says:

Picklefork , nuff said

Sergey Nemirovsky says:

You are correct on using those straps ! I use a chain hook up to winch with its hook attached to other side of
cruddle/cross member.

Brandon H says:

THANK U MY MAN.. I GOT THE JOB DONE WITH NO PROBLEMS!!

MissAmazanda says:

I've seen very few Saturn S series with a broken ball joint but it does happen on a rare occasion, they typically seem to hold up very well. It's usually those rear trailing arms that break on the back of the old Saturns

General Tso says:

I dont get it why do You have to bend the bar? Do I have to do that for a 2000 saturn sl

Michael Jopling says:

Doing this next weekend to my SL2 97 and the driver's side rear sway bar link then car will be in perfect condition again at 165000 miles

Bobbert Irvin says:

Thanks a bunch you just saved me 130$ in labor replacing that lower control arm.
