It will roll down with the control but no up. I can push it almost to the top, but there is still a gap of about 1/2 inch.

Huge help! If the zip ties under the roller hold, I am good to go. If I need a new part, I’m headed your way. Thanks.

This video helped my son and I replace the speakers in his L300 doors. thx!

APDTY says:

What fails is the plastic guides, they become brittle with age and will eventually snap, when that happens the cables loose all their tension and get all tangled up and destroyed.

Tiberius Shrimpboat says:

How exactly does a regulator break? I understand it has those points where the wire runs through each of the 4 corners, and then there is that drum type thing in the middle where the cord goes around. How can a regulator break, is it just because of the plastic cogs?

APDTY says:

The cable itself is part of the regulator. Usually what causes the cables to come unwound or break is when the regulator itself fails. Unfortunately when any part of the regulator breaks, the entire thing needs replacing.

Tiberius Shrimpboat says:

I’m confused. The cord broke which when pulled raises and lowers the regulator which is powered by the regulator motor correct?
Could you not have just put in a new cord, or did the broken cord break the regulator as well?

dntlss says:

after working on cars for years i cannot understand why they came out with that ridiculous cable arrangement for the electric window motors, theres nothing easier that taking the window motor out and replacing the brushes or the nylon rollers versues dealing with some braided wire going all over the place, i guess buying the whole assembly like this video is a alternative.

dntlss says:

on taking the door panel off i have learned after taking about 30 of them off to buy that special tool that looks like a screwdriver with the forked end, it really helps because with the screwdriver sometimes things get damaged.the video is great, gotta work on a saturn tomorrow which ive never done so its very helpful, thanks!!!

Those are referred to as either a LS1, LS200, or just a L200.
