This is a fast demonstration on how to change the weak or dead battery in your SAAB key fob. This specific key was used in both to 9-3 and the 9-5. The years ranged from 03-11. The only tools you need are a flat blade screwdriver and your replacement 2032 battery. Hope this was helpful for you!

i didn't even kno my used saab HAD a separate 'real' key inside it. so this made a huge dif for me
yea, my key fob was nowhere near as easy to pop open as that one, lol…
I swear it felt like someone super-glued the damn casing together. It did NOT want to come apart, i was scared I was going to break something I had to pry so hard.
It finally popped open but it wasn't easy. I don't think my keyfob has ever been taken apart since the car was manufactured…. the amount of dust inside was absolutely crazy.
Thank you so much; local Timpsonscssid they’d have to smash snd replace my and itv would costs £50 for key, pls £5.99 (I think) for battery. Do happy I’m a pessimist and you shared this. Liked
Would a low battery cause the car not to start
