This video replaces a previous version Ep.11 to include an important correction on the location of the release bearing. The bearing must be outside the rubber boot of the slave cylinder assembly so it comes in contact with the fingers of the pressure plate.
Changing the clutch on a SAAB 900 is not that difficult. See how to assemble the components and how I installed all the components in the transmission housing.
is there video on how to replace the radiator ? my saab 900 turbo over heated while sitting in idle and all the fluid came out
Lee the engine is out of my saab 900 and i forgot to release the hydraulic pressure to the cluch. What did you do to release the pressure?
So that’s where the starter is…..great 😉
So Lee, I am curious – how did the thing shift (and sound) when you ran the car with the release bearing on the inside of the rubber boot?
Hi temp grease in bearing ( throw out )….? Just a dab 'll do ya…
Question…..the shaft that runs through the middle of the slave cylinder, clutch assembly, does it have threaded holes on each end and if so what size threads are they? M10? M12? M13? etc…. Thanks.
Lee, thanks for the videos. So sad that this one meet its end so quickly. I have a question for you – I'm at the last stages of replacing my clutch but I can't seem to get the input shaft through the snap ring and snug. Did you have any difficulty putting yours back into place? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Tyler
the handle off if a 5 gallon bucket works well for holding the fingers on the plate depressed
That music is so loud how do I listen to how to do anything LOL….
Lee, Wouldn't mind more videos .
Really helpful and well done.
