Guys, 0:30 is the key moment of the whole process. Trims are fitted to guides which are welded to the frame of the car. Be VERY careful at the removal point because you can easily break off the guides from the frame (they are welded by 4-5 little rivets). Unfortunately I had to learn the hard lesson. If anyone breaks it the way I did – glue the guides back to frame with the strongest metal bond you can find. English is not my first lang…blabla, you know. Hope it helps anyone.
I would advise against removing the trim form the windscreen because the new one is just impossible to put on without trimming the bottom lip by about 2 mm on the whole length. Even then in requires 2 person a lot of silicone grease and a lot of hammer taping to get it on. The front screen trim is to be fitted with a new screen. Rear screen is nothing compared to the front one 🙂
Good to see you got the rear trim sorted in the end, nothing wrong with a bit of brute force!! That metal U channel in the trim is horrible to work with, it's great when it's new but it distorts so easily and stretches at the smallest bend.
