Saab 9-3 Front Motor Mount Replacement

Saab 9-3 Front Motor Mount Replacement

A look at changing out the front transmission / motor mount. This is also refereed to as a torque arm. This job tanks about 45 minutes and with the correct tools its relatively straight forward. Vehicle shown is a 2006 9-3 2.0t with automatic transmission (and left hand drive). *Manual transmission FWD, and XWD variants vehicles all use a different mount.*

Be careful when removing the mount, Due to it’s design, accidentally spilled fluids can collect in the backside of the mount resulting an unexpected splash upon removal.

Thanks for this tutorial. I've got a slight vibration in my '08 9-3 (AT) only when accelerating starting out. None in 2-5 gears. I'm hoping that this might be my problem. I could do this fix.

Thorough and to the point! Excellent. Thank you!. I have got both the front and rear torque mounts to replace. I was hoping you did the rear one as well. I am dreading removal of the exhaust manifold bolts.
