I have an ’04 9-3 Convertible, when I first looked at changing the bulbs, I thought there were going to be a lot of parts on the floor. Thanks for the easy to follow direction, it went flawless! Much easier than I anticipated.

Awesome, I appreciate it. Maybe you could do a video on the cim dismantling, idk, just an idea lol. Thanks man.

Nathandm78 says:

It’s called the CIM. And don’t forget to add the plastic fog light cover to the list. Try Volvo & Saab auto dismantlers. They’re located in CA, have a HUGE selection, decent prices and cheap shipping. They have a website and links to nearly every car. Or you could see if your city has a Mega U Pull type of salvage yard. They usually have websites listing current inventory, and all prices. They would be the cheapest and most convenient.

tutusa15 says:

Oh that makes sense. I have the same 03 9-3 and I’m looking for parts like, flip out cup holder, glove box, and turn signal switch that’s located inside of the sim or cid can’t remember what it’s called, do you know of any place to get these parts used?

Nathandm78 says:

There’s probably corrosion somewhere on the bulb housing, preventing good electrical contact.

tutusa15 says:

My plastic cover fell off for one of my fog lights on my 9-3. So it only works now when I physically put my hands on the fog light and push on it. Is the reason for this because of that plastic cover not being there to apply pressure on the light, or would there be a short somewhere? Thanks

Hi and sorry the bug ya again , I being trying to find a relay for my fog lights but looks like there is not 1 for the fog lights it self I find 2 fuses but there fine , and tips ? Thank

Dylan Marlow says:

check the relay. it’s probably only about ten bucks at advance auto parts so its worth picking up a new one and trying it out. Your owners manual has diagrams in the back of the fuses and relays.

joselitosuave says:

The green fog light indicator is not showing anything , and the bulb that I replace was the left side but the old bulb looks good to me so I will check the fuses at this time

Nathandm78 says:

Do either of them work?? When you press the switch, does the GREEN foglight indicator come on in the instrument cluster? Which side did you replace? If you look in the access flap on the driver’s side there should be a wire harness attached to the plastic access flap, with a connector, make sure it’s connected. That wire harness supplies power to the fog lights, and the outside temperature sensor. If that is connected, check your fuses.

joselitosuave says:

Nice video and thank you , I just have a question ? I have a 2005 saab arc , I did put new fog lights but they don’t work , and ideas for me ? Thank again

Henry Wong says:

I can’t pull the bulb out, it stick very hard to the socket.
