I have an -06 9-3 Sportcombi and im going to get a steering wheel like this looks awsome. I dont need padle shifters cause i have an 5 speed manual.

Dodge Hemi says:

metric size on nut tool is a huge hex head???

Michele Salone says:

man the old '03 airbag wiring harness can be used on the new gen airbag? or you have bought also a wiring harness for the new one?
Thanks

Maloy Tirolsky says:

was it possible to program the paddle shift?

grapewater123 says:

I've just changed my steering wheel… How will I know if it's a recalled airbag?!!

Ryan Clisham says:

what’s your exhaust setup? it sounds so good!

Darius Kanarius says:

Did you end up having to use the Tech 2 for the paddle shifters? I just picked up an 08 Aero steering wheel air bag included for my 05 Aero I'm hoping compatibility is good!

Daniel Massey says:

Very interested how this play out …. I driving a 04 arc convertible and my parts car is a 04 aero convertible (fully drivable, strong engine runs great) the front nose clip very damage).
I wanted to switch steering wheels because of the paddles shifter, …. thinking I would have to switch out the computers as well or a modular on the transmission…..
Let me know your end solution –

Paul Mason says:

Did you get the paddle shifters working? My 06 Aero doesn’t have paddle shifters. Somebody deleted them off the factory options list. Boo.

Filip Andersson says:

What should i do if i only get a new steering wheel with the airbag not included? Is there a way to trasnfer the old airbag to the new steering wheel?

Henrik Storstrand says:

hi, what exhaust is it on this car?

MassiveTrackHunter says:

Massively Awesome! Been afraid to touch that due to previous failures. The buttons on mine fail to work most of the time, and I wanted to replace them, but could not get the bag out. Thanks!!!

Betting you just need a Tech2 programming to work. Be interesting to know. Frankly it seems like the wheel button shifting is a bit delayed on my Aero, compared to just using the bumpstick.

Derek Chabs says:

took me a while to get a feel for those steering wheel release prongs but once you get a feel for it they just pop out. And yes, you need Tech 2 to marry the paddle shifters, if that option is even available, i guess only way to find out is to connect Tech2

Un- Known says:

Hows the airbag in the 9-5 2005 ?

Omar Zowila says:

I think carbon fiber would look cool on the interior of the ‘03 Saab 9-3

pilot4211 says:

Did the same
Thing on my 04 when I had it!

Mustafa BAL says:

how do i find ? 9-5 radio code 2003

Robert Viggen says:

You will NOT be able to get the paddle shifters working on your 2003. When programming the CIM module, you program the paddle shifter option at that time. 2003 software does not factor in paddle shifters and hence will not work on your 2003 Saab 9-3. Marrying modules = programming a module to communicate with the other modules currently on that vehicle bus communication system. This is not marrying issue. Instead, this is about setting up parameters to be flashed to the CIM module based upon year, make, and model of the vehicle in question. I AM THE SAAB GOD AND I HAVE SPOKEN!

AP says:

I've always wanted to see somebody try this. Can you please get the settings changed with a Tech 2 and do a follow-up video? I have an aero and a 2.0t and I'd like to do the same on my 2.0. You can buy the VCX Nano and do the programming yourself. You'll be in it for less than $200, which is way less than going to q shop with a Tech 2.

Sigbjørn says:

Find someone with a Tech2 and security access. You'll have sentronic in 5 mins.

Topo Lino says:

Forgetting a bolt happens to all of us 🙂

Szymon Pawłowski says:

I have also heard that paddle shifters must be supported by TCM module and early modules dont support it, but dont know that from my own …. autopsy ….hehe . If you program it and tcm is not supporting it, then no errors on dash, if tcm expets to see shifters and they are not there – dtc, cheers

Mx5Wagon says:

I hope you manage to fix the buttons, because they really motivate me to use the manual mode, its no DCT, but it can be fun.
