vian303030 says:

Just want to say thanks for taking the time to do this video………it was helpful for me.

castuis says:

If you’re bottoming out hit ebay and pick up a cheap set of lowering springs, you can get all 4 for around 80 dollars and that will stiffen up the ride considerably and stop the bottoming out, you could get regular height but the car will look a little cleaner dropped a bit and you’ll still have fixed your problem I used ebstores as the seller and am very pleased with the springs, been on em around a year now.

castuis says:

but I regap them down to .9 and dont get the misfire shakes under load. If you have access to a scanner or torque(android) I would check unclear codes to see if you see a misfire in any cylinders, if you have any swap around the coils to see if the misfire moves cylinders,

castuis says:

A bad coil can cause the sputtering and shaking under load, if its not throwing an error code than the misfires are probably less than 2% after 2% youll get a solid check engine light, it will stay solid till you start misfiring more than 10%. Also having your plugs gapped too large can cause the same problem, My car would struggle a little under load when my plugs were gapped more than 1mm the ngk plugs I run (stock plugs) (2006 9.3 bsr stage 1) come pregapped but the gapping is close to 1.1

Nathan Bergh says:

Struts are bad as well it bottoms out when going slow over speed bumps any help to both of my frustrations with my 2004 saab 9-3 2.0 t

Nathan Bergh says:

Quick question would a bad coil make my engine shake? Just had the engine mounts replaced ,my engine puts after 50mph but sluggish at acceleration like its misfiring !.

mica122213 says:

this car will only run on a specific spark plug.

mica122213 says:

there are no plug wires. it has direct ignition coils.

alex blanco says:

Thanks I just bought a 99 saab and I want to tune it up

B4ni says:

Thanks for this dude!

childrenofhunter says:

the intake should be housed away from the engine bay so that the engine would pull cooler air. and cooler air to engine = Extra performance, i kept my engine air intake to stock as it won’t make any difference. my Cadillac BLS which is a redesigned exterior of SAAB 93

fuckUmaddafakka says:

Had a similar problem on a Citroën. Changing the coils solved it. But Saab has a more complex ignition system, so it might be something else.

Marie Allpress says:

This is a great video, thank you. The manual does not show where the spark plugs are housed. What size adapter do I need to access the plug? My socket set has a spark plug adapter, but it is too big to fit into that hole. Thank you.

dybbuk4640 says:

would a bad coil or spark plug cause the engine light to go on and off intermittently? sometimes is sense a vibration that seems to coincide with the light going on, and then it seems to run smoother when the light doesn’t come on. id appreciate any help. the car is a 2001 saab 93 w/77k.

nikkilien09 says:

Do you also have to change any wires when you change the plugs????

tbrennan221 says:

Thanks a ton, very quick and easy video.

jayrod1186 says:

Heads up, 21 lb/ft setting on the torque wrench. Just did mine, this video helped greatly (newb to Saab.)

castuis says:

you can check genuinesaab for most of the popular saab upgrades, I have a vid up on the software they sell still I think, prices are a little rough but some things like the 3 point and strut are custom made by taliferro which is genuinesaab

TheEdgaroth says:

Where did you find the strut tower bar and BSR intake?

TheEdgaroth says:

Where did you find that strut tower bar and BSR intake?

Porsche Saab says:

themattymatt1 says:

budeiri123 says:

jamielillis1 says:

no problem guys just helpin out. any other questions just ask and i might be able to help. and yes it is a BSR intake but what do you mean when you have PPC??? Also fyi if anybody has any questions about my saab… it has a strut tower bar, the boost in the turbo was adjusted, shifter bearings, short throw shift kit, BSR cold air intake, 3 point sub-frame kit. i have also had some crazy problems with my car as well. so really any questions just ask… i might of already had that/those problems.
