Scotty, I am getting a P0134…. bank 1, sensor 1. The problem is it is
frozen with 18 years of Midwest rust and I do not have acetylene. I tried
to loosen it but do not want to snap it off. Would it be best to ask a shop
to break it free? Thank you.

Mungbeanz100 says:

Hi Scotty, my yota has over 200k miles, my engine hasn’t thrown any codes
😀 as she is a good girl by not complaining, anyway, should I just wait for
a my check engine light or should I go ahead and replace my o2’s? p.s.
these are the original o2’s never been replaced.

Hector Garcia-Martinez says:

I replaced 3 of those already and the stupid light never went away, even
the people at the auto parts store tell me that a should drive it for at
least 100 miles and it will go away on its own, but the one I replaced on
my Hyundai never did and I just turn the light off myself! Is this normal?
I’m surprised the light went off on your video!!!

Carlos Rengifo says:

isael rocha says:

hey scotty is it possible to make oxygen sensors last longer by cleaning
them periodically with a little bit of mass air flow sensor cleaner? and do
i really need to use that socket to remove them or can i use an open end
wrench with a long metal tube on the end of it to pry it off

MasterMindAlliance says:

+scottykilmer Hey Scotty, I have a bad oxygen sensor on a 2007 Mitsubishi
Eclipse 2.4L Four cylinder with a code that is for a Bank 1 Sensor 2. I am
having a hard time trying to determine where it actually is. Going online I
have found confusing answers that contradict each other. Please direct me
in the right direction. I have the sensor and the socket just need to find
out where it goes.

David Le says:

Hi Scotty Thanks for the video. One of my car had CEL code for “too lean”
condition, OBD2 scanner found really high LTFT (15%). I troubled shoot and
found out it was caused by a bad O2 sensor. Replaced it and fixed the
problem. I have another car (2001 BMW 330I at 160K mileage). LTFT and
STFT of both banks are ~ 0%. My question is that if 0% LTFT is a clear
indication of good O2 sensor? Thanks much.

Brandon Spencer says:

Hey scotty can it put a performance o2 sensor on it?

Eduardo Cervantes says:

hello, could you help me which is Bank 1 sensor 1 1999 ford explorer 4.0

Scotty, got a 2004 Honda Accord EX , 2.4 liter. code is P0141 , bank 1
sensor 2, that’s the sensor for the cat ? u say match it up, so use Denso
from autozone? instead of buying a Honda OEM one ? please let me know. Kody

Joe Montes says:

Hey Scotty, can bad o2 sensor cause driveability problems (such as misfires
and rough idle) and not trip a check engine light on OBD-1 computers
systems?

toneloc62011 says:

Hey Scotty , I have a 2005 ford five hundred and have a code. I took it to
autozone and they told me it’s a bad sensor , so I go up under the car and
I noticed my whole oxygen sensor wiring harness had melted.now I have new
sensor but don’t know the how to connect the wires…I need of help

ANGEL BABY says:

How do know when your oxygen sensors are worn out on a Mustang GT 1988 5.0?

shacking a bit too some time .what should I do can you help me pls thank

Erick Enriquez says:

Scotty,

I replaced the oxygen sensor that my mechanic told me it was not working.
The new oxygen sensor did make a difference in my car in terms of power.
However, I would like to know if should change the other oxygen sensor for
better performance although it keeps working. Thanks.

Nick Scribner says:

Hey Scotty.

I need a new upstream o2 sensor for my 2004 Mazda 3 2.0 California
Emissions and the Mazda o2 sensor is 249.61. Would I be fine going to
advance autos and getting a Denso or Bosch instead of the OEM one? Just
trying to save a couple of bucks lol

renodeify says:

Please help! I got an upstream oxygen sensor code last november. Forgot
what the exact code was but the car was throwing the same code multiple
times. After replacing the sensor, the check engine light went away for
about 2.5 months. Now I am getting P0171 which is bank 1 too lean. I also
feel the engine shakes when idling. It has been unusually cold out so I
don’t know if that has anything to do with it. So what the heck is going on
with my car? Do you think I just have bad luck and have a vacuum leak after
a bad sensor? Or the two codes are somehow related? Was the oxygen sensor
that I put in bad?

Rodolfo Ortiz says:

Hey scotty, my car 08 dode avenger, in the mornings only goes up to 60mph(i
let it sit for a few minutes before driving), after the engine is warm
during the afternoon it goes higher than 60mph any suggestions?

Byron Pelico says:

Hi Scotty, how many oxygen sensors used engines V6? All V6 use the same? I
have a toyota 4runner 98 v6 Thank you.

Andrew Kamara says:

hey Scotty, I was just wondering if this is the same way to fix the oxygen
sensor on a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero? Great video by the way!

King Stevens says:

scotty- my 2001 saab 9-5 has code for a bad oxygen sensor. would that cause
my car to smoke a lot?

Mark Whitson says:

Hey Scotty–great video! Do you know if this is a repair that can be done
on a 2008 Nissan Versa? I feel comfortable replacing one but I was told
that Nissan needs to reset some computer function. Is this a customer
service gimmick? Best regards!
