Radiator Fan Repair on 2000 Saab 9-3 SE

Decided to try and repair the fan’s blown resistor – to get back the low speed functionality – instead of replacing entire unit. Found repair kit on eBay.

What’s the resistor value?

Symptoms: Fan would either run at a high speed, or be off. To test and see if it’s the resistor, do a search for “saab fan resistor test” and the top link will take you to a wiki that explains everything. On ebay do a search for “Saab Cooling Fan Resistor Repair Kit” there’s only one person who sells that kit- dzlsabe. Kit could have been bit better, but it did the job. Good luck!!

What were your cars symptoms. My 9-3 started to run the fan after the car was turned off to the point where I had to pull the fuse. Then after doing that for 3 days, decided not to turn the fan on when it was needed. Do you think that is the resistor? Who did you buy from on ebay? Thanks in advance.
