Is there anyone who makes springs for these throttle bodies? I reset the
limp mode on my car, cleaned the throttle, but p1260 is still showing up.
Weak spring? If so, how can I get one?
im having a pain in the balls with my streering angle sensor, ive tried to
locate it from the diagram, but, i just didnt dee where it supposedly is,
AND my air bag sensor is always on, where is the sensor? is it dirty or is
the clock bad???
Difficult to say exactly without the vehicle in front of me, but if your
having surging at idle, it can be from a bad TB, or possibly vacuum leaks.
You don’t know how much you just saved me with this 5 minute solution!!,
had the same problem last year and got charged over £400 for a whole new
unit after being told it was the throttle sensor and needing to replace the
whole unit as the sensor can’t be replaced alone. Power to the people n

Oh sorry and one more thing my car has the cog on the throttle body,and my
car is a 2002 SAAB 9-3 SE turbo would this be applicable to my car? it
should right? cause after your very usefull information i checked my
throttle body and the cog moves with the throttle not without,thank you for
your genrous time once again.
I cleaned the thorttle body, car went into limp mode, i reset it and i cant
still accelerate faster then 40km/h?? what to do?
Wish I watched this earlier….. could have saved me a hell of a lot of
money and heartache thanks to crap mechanics who could learn from this!

Hello. Glad I can help you out. You want to be sure the cogged wheel moves
separate from the throttle cable. If it moves with the cable, it is in limp
mode and a reset is needed. There are numerous reasons why it goes into
limp mode. Most of the time it is either one of the two position sensors or
the internal wire insulation coming apart which grounds out a circuit. Here
in the states, there are a couple rebuilders but I tend to replace them
with new units on clients cars.
t-5 does come with electronic throttlebody on tcs 9000 cars.

I forked out over £400 after a garage blamed it on the throttle sensor and
changed the whole unit saying the sensor can’t be replaced alone. The
problem started again last week until this vid!. Problem solved in five
minutes!. Now I feel like Slapping the bastard mechanics next time I see
them!! Power to the people!!!!

What year and model? US spec? If it has the electronic throttlebody
(Trionic 7) the Air Mass Meter could be installed incorrectly leading to a
trouble code. With your stalling, is the check engine light on?
Does anyone know if the steps are the same for a 2005 9-3 model? Any help
would be very much appreciated. I am having a hell of a time finding the
spring and black cog….
was about to order throttle body, stinkin Saab’s. I own a repair shop,
never seen anything like this. very dumb design. I got it reset, but it
still moves somewhat. may need a ziptie……….LOL
Great video. One tip is on my 2002 9-3 you have to push the end of the
throttle spring in towards the throttle body to release the limp home
notched black wheel. I think the video showed you moving it out or away
from the throttle body and that did not work on my SAAB. But thanks for the
video!
it is a 2000 Saab, 9-5 model. the check engine light is on and in order for
me to actually drive it smooth without it stalling, I have to start it and
keep my foot lightly on the pedal, until my thermostat gauge slowly goes
into the middle, which usually takes about 5 minutes or so.

just pull the control module fuses, so you don’t have to reset the clock
all of the time 😉
hey, i looked at your video, and had the same problem. but i cant turn that
black wheel backwards, is it difficult? i was standing on the right side of
the car and pushed a metal piece “up”. thanks
