Here are some Typical Saab 9-5 Electrical Issues ABS Module P1625

In today’s episode, I pull out the ABS module in my 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero. After seeing CEL P1625 and cleaning the harnesses I decided to bite the bullet and get it remanned. I also ran into the typical electric issues with the trunk harness and address that with fresh wires. I hope you enjoy this episode! Please like, share, and subscribe!

Where i can send it to get rebuilt and cost??

Gorgeous Volvo!

Aaron Kashmer says:

Ok Dielectric grease is insulating…. It is silicone grease and in hydrophobic. (hates water) so it keeps the contacts clean…. ALSO Contact Cleaner has a light Oil that also does the same. You can ALSO use WD40. believe it or not it what it was designed for… I use Silicone spray when changing electrical connections which again, hydrophobic.

zMight be better to have your original part repaired at https://www.upfix.com

Everardo Mondragon says:

Can you tell me where do you fix your module?? I got the same problem!!!

Chris Cuningham says:

It is an easy swap. I swapped my ABS module on my 2001 Saab 9-5 many years ago. I am currently rocking a 2008 Saab 9-3 Sportcombi. Black/ Tan leather. Love the channel.

Vytautas Leonavicius says:

I have 2004 2.3T Arc with the exact same looking module and the exact same problem. Local ABS shop tried to repair it twice, both times in vain. They said everything checks out but the lights are still on, no abs, only the speedo is working. Later found out in forums that these particular modules (p/n 0 273 004 701) appear to be non reparable. Few days ago I found same looking module (p/n 0 273 004 514) from 2003 2.3t (A/T, ESP) model and swapped it yesterday. Now it has to be married with Tech2 and hopefully those pesky lights will go away. Fingers crossed. Love the channel by the way!

Abdul-Khaaliq David says:

I have the same issue. ABS & Brake Light started coming on as well as the ESP Light. Then a check engine light, I think I'll try your method. As well, I have an issue with a constant high RPM! I'm worried about it. I just installed, a brand new Boost Control Valve and a new Turbo Bypass Valve. I thought that would help the high RPM issue, but no. As well before any of this, I noticed that after I got a new Flex Pipe installed, the needle on my Boost Gauge was sitting well high up into the middle of the Green on the gauge, whereas before that, it was normal, just barely sitting on it. Which is why I installed those two Brand New valves. But still the high RPM issue. Took it to a mechanic friend, and he read a MAF sensor code. So I buy a brand new one, install it, but still, the RPM issues persist. What do you think it could be Kyle. I've been following your channel now Since I bought her 3 months ago, I appreciate all the videos bro, really they are inspiring me to at least try to take care of her, but it seems that really ever since I got the flex pipe fixed I've been having more issues than before! She ran beautiful before that! A little loud but excellent. IDK man, any advice??!

I need to pull my ABS module this weekend. I have a 2002 9-5 Arc Wagon. 3.0t. My mechanic says not all of the 2002-2004 modules are repairable. I will not know until I pull it and read the model number beneath it. Thanks for the video.

Michael Sackstein says:

That abs module is a super common problem on Saab’s. Honestly you’re better off getting it professionally rebuilt rather than installing a new used unit because odds are it will go bad as well. Funny enough, EricTheCarGuy has a video on this procedure as well. Same exact car in fact. Yes you can still drive it if you disconnect the abs but I guess there really isn’t any need to atm.

The Conservative Patriot says:

Great video Kyle. I just picked up an 08 9-3 sportcombi for no joke $200. Needed a starter and alternator to get it going. You should pick one up next!

Chicago UI says:

The 80% unsubbed are subie guys wishing they had a Saab. Jk. Sub up people. Kyle he’s a good kid. Badaboom

Chicago UI says:

Alan Funt says:

It's like we have the same car lol. Give the front sensors a clean while ur waiting to get the module back, def helps. Hoped you used BBA reman.

Chicago UI says:

I also can’t wait to see the review of the in-laws super Volvo!!

Chicago UI says:

That electric cleaner dries with out a film. The die grease is magic!!!

Chicago UI says:

Great job Kyle!! Easy stuff first. Usually what it is on our Saab’s!!
