"EURO" Shop Couldn't Fix it…in a YEAR?? (Saab Injector MISFIRE)

Another Saab V6 TURBO!
This one starts up and runs…but only on 5 CYLINDERS…
Code P0203 – Injector 3 Circuit Fault.

How hard can this be to diagnose?
Well a “Specialty Euro” shop couldn’t figure it out in a YEAR!!!

Customer got fed up and towed it to PHAD from over 3 hours away.

Let’s dive in and FOLLOW THE DATA.
Will any parts be required?

Entirely too much BS to fix a simple problem. There's no reason to have to marry modules to the vin . And what in the hell does the tire size and engine oil life have to do with installing a new ecm ? There's too much BS technology in modern vehicles!!!!!!

Evocati Augusti (PLVS VLTRA) says:

Ill follow this becuase I have a misfire code they said they fixed, it came back P0300 and now I have a P1343 somehow the cover for my injectors has busted up and come off the screw, so something from the side pushed up so hard it broke that screw off, I'm going Sunday to see what a mess they made wtf they did the valve cover plugs injectors and I've only driven it 100 miles since and now this?

Louis White says:

Great work and video! I have a Saab, 2002 9-5 with a turbocharged 3.0 V6. Several mechanics can't figure out why it stalls once at normal operating temperature, mainly when it comes to a stop. Perhaps, I need to have the computer checked.

HouseCallAutoRepair says:

Very cool. I'm not sure what it takes to get where you are, with respect to the diagnostic and programming tools, but I'm hoping to get there too!

Vincent Lee says:

Never go to a shop with fancy company name. It's all rubbish.

Jerry Robbins says:

Very very good skills, not many of you guys left.

KING TUT says:

My guess 2 minutes in head gasket

Paul Nielsen says:

I had a slightly older model. Fuel pump quit. I paid a local garage to re and re the gas tank to replace it. They did but the car didn't run. They said the computer was probably zapped so pay the $600 for their work and tow it to a dealer. I towed it home. a few weeks later (being relatively poor) I cut a hole in the floor to access the pump because dammit something felt wrong … yup, the 2 fuel lines installed reversed. I do blame Saab for having a crappy design but I was happy/angry. I drove to that garage. Buddy came out to greet me with a smile "You got it running! Did the dealer charge much?". I said "look at this" and his face dropped. Immediately refunded me the money I'd paid.

Juan Carlos Lozano says:

I have that same Tech II emulator. I purchased to add new car key fobs to my Saabs but never can. Could you please make a video explaining how did you make it work?? The saab delete GM adding process and TIS??? Thanks in avance!!!

You should open up a Euro specialist shop now..! You are now the Euro Guru!! 🙂

Buck Fiden says:

Keep calling them out!

John R says:

Good times. I am dealing with this right now too. I am very much hoping the ECM that's on the way will fix the issue!

watershed44 says:

ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH "NEVS SWEDEN" (aka SAAB) LATELY?

Graham Cole says:

Great job, you know what you are doing.

Tony Rule says:

That's ridiculous for a so-called euro specialist to have a car for a year for such an easy diagnosis. I really pity people that can't fix their own vehicles and live too far from an ethical and competent technician such as yourself – it must be quite stressful for them having to take the gamble every time there's a problem with their car.

Brent Owen says:

I thought emulator rename was the cooolest part. How did you learn that sort of repair? Trial and Error seems too lucky for that.

Kevin Doble says:

You sir are the Head Wizard. The mere mudblood's, proclaimed european specialist's of Saabwarts should be quite embarrassed. Well done as always man.

Emmanuel Vences says:

Hey Ivan nice video. The emulator you were using is that a package you bought or is that a subscription I would have to get?
