I hate Porsches, expensive to buy and maintain, as a technician, they suck to work on !!!

James Parker says:

That looked like a mr lube inspection, dude had a break fluid tester but don't worry about a exhaust test for lean or rich , and if routine mantenance things cost that much buy something else … just not a Benz as I found out the hard way lol

GimmeGimme says:

What kind of shop would I look for to have this sort of inspection done?

satch1717 says:

that was great video, thank you!

etom2511 says:

Who pays for the inspection?

Joe Longtin says:

This guy is GOOD!!!!!! Wish he was in my area…..

jeremy whittler says:

Better yet let that rear main seep, forget the mirrors and bupstops and enjoy that badass porshe.

jeremy whittler says:

For the things he listed not close to 5k. Get yourself a good manual. That's a nice car. I bet the specialty tools for Porsches aren't cheap though.

When to walk away…when it's in white.

Ronald Santos says:

The mechanic in this video patiently and clearly gives so much information and advice.

That's one good mechanic.

Dassd Schsdu says:

Great tech, very rare.

Edd Herring says:

If it was my money and I was worried about the IMS I'd walk. Having owned a 996 Tip which had had its IMS done it had a similar leak after standing for a few weeks not driven. I would only buy if the IMS was done with a Porsche invoice which could be checked. If it were done on this vehicle I'd buy it to sell on. The other issues are minor. Owning a used Porsche is not cheap or maintenance free. Having peace of mind that your not going to be buying a new lump is priceless.

the Xcom says:

isn't the point of a project car that it has work to do on it?

Tighty Mimbers says:

Hello. Is it me you're looking for?

thooke222 says:

when I walk away: after reading the sticker price in the window lol

Gregarious Solitudinist says:

Sounds like $150,000 buys you a Ford Pinto. A fool and his money are soon parted. Buy Korean.

Simplex SM says:

Tyler Hoovie should've watched this video.

Petter Ballin says:

thats not a leak…. just sweating from a rubber seal. For a mechanic to say that has to be replaced is not good. Monitored yes maybe check on next service if theres more moisture

Murky Wells says:

damn, i give props to that mechanic!

Juan Pablo Gonzalez says:

live these gain bone tonight but.

wildbill9919 says:

Seems like if you can afford a Porsche, spending $5k to get it in tip top shape should not be a big deal.

Joe Joe says:

Buy a 2003 n later 911. Low mileage examples usually need more maintanence than a higher 90k mile 911. The more you drive these cars the better they are. Low mileage cars are a no no !A friend of mine has a 2009 997 with 180k miles, and nothing done but clutch, brakes, oil changes, and other minor things. Get out and drive your 911's people! You want reliable Porsche 911? Buy an 81-83
911 Super Carrera!!!

john smith says:

996 Non-Turbo.

Eric Elkins says:
