Niall Nugent says:

Genius, thanks guys, was wondering whether to use a DIN cage or get the surround fascia and side panels! This video explains this process well!

Patricio Felipe Sebastián Copier Schublin says:

Hello my friend,

What is the color of the cable of the car, to connect to the lighting of the new radio (orange color of my new radio).

Your help please, I just need to find this one.

Mikab61 says:

Porsche is a two syllable word. “Por-shuh.

Paul Vink says:

Such a great video.

ElColin says:

What happens to the vehicle info and/or settings that you would normally access through the factory PCM unit? Are they gone forever? Trying to figure out an aftermarket head unit install for my Cayenne 958.

AleksanderOdessit says:

Thank you for all of your help and the detailed video. This video and your backup camera basics helped me get through what was a reasonably complex install on my Cayman. I couldnt have done it without your videos!

Roger Bainbridge says:

Porsche is pronounced with two syllables, not one.

Jack says:

How do you route the wire from the fuse box to the radio cavity?

K says:

Good video, but rather than doing all the re-pinning and soldering, wouldn't Crutchfield have play-and-play adapters for this?

Ronald Clark says:

Good video.
Precise, explanatory, practical.
Not a bunch of bullshit fluff and meaningless dribble.

Daren Sullivan says:

Good video guys…one suggestion however…find a way to fix the focus..the autofocus keeps trying to adjust

Not Really Derrick says:

Great video! Curious if you've ever dealt w/ a Cayman w/ Bose system

Denis Savard says:

Hi,
I have a 2005 base Boxster and everywere on the net i only find a 400$ adapter plug ?? And your is 12$ ??
What the difference ? They say that i need this 400$ plug to bypass the Bose system ? I have a CDR24 oem radio ??
Thanks in advence

UNCLE SAM says:

Thanks A lot!!!!!

Dave Richey says:

My 06 Boxster radio just stopped working. Wish I could get you guys to install a new one!

Chad Mizner says:

my bottom speakers in the door don't work, the tops (tweeters work fine), I thought maybe the bottoms were considered rear (because there are no actual rears), so I tried that, no help. Put in the original cdr24 to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I'm not, can clearly hear the sound out of the bottoms with the factory head unit.. ideas??? thx! 2006 Porsche Boxster

GhostriderTom says:

🙂 Worth giving this work to a pro. Complicated but great information here for someone skilled enough to go for it.

TJ's Garage says:

Do you have a video if it has the BOSE system?

Dave Shirazi says:

Have you ever changed out a 981 head unit for the one in the 718? I’m interested
