Shinedown 😀

bhaggen says:

Is 23 liters the total capacity of the system? I drew some blood getting the tank out this AM; destroyed the level sensor I was so pissed! I plan on using BMW blue or FORD gold, as both are European G05 formulas. I no longer resort to standard silicated green on anything. Even my 66 Mustang runs G05 and believe me it’s worth every penny. So 3 gal concentrate?

ToonPR says:

How much coolant does get out if you drain via the plug ? All 23 liters ? If so how do you bleed the system later once filled again ?

robert rich says:

I tried the JB Weld route on it – two different types – each one worked until pressure built up and then it just started leaking again. Thanks for your reply over on rennlist!

Mike Grogan says:

Could the old tank have been repaired with appoxy resin of some kind? Just a thought.

Ron Peele says:

How do you drop the engine? That sounds like a major undertaking.

Raj Sekhon says:

I have long thin hands:) but yes its a bit of a struggle unless you drop the engine.

PWM4508 says:

You didn’t show the hardest part — the details of getting the old tank out and even harder, getting the new one in. That is the tough part!

thanks for the video even if is always easier to watch than to do ,i managed to change it alone …sorry for my english…i live of france …bye porsche friend

Lance Cowan says:

Thanks for posting this. I have a 2001 996 and my expansion went out at 70K. How did it take you to complete the job? My mechanic charged me 5 hours labor.

Thanks

Felix Sosa says:

Excelent, I did and works ok, It is very difficult to take out the thank once everything is already loose as well as put it back in place. Its feel like you will crack the new one just trying to put it in place.

scorned says:

videos like these are gold!

saratogalive says:

Nicely done. What about putting the air intake back?

Tomas Gray says:

Were you able to remove the tank without breaking the mounting bracket? I noticed the video skipped over that part? 🙂 If so, how?

Raj Sekhon says:

I used a Compressor to pump air into the old tank, I did not do the same to the new tank, but you could.

charliewantsa says:

two things:

How did you pressure test the tank?

Can you pressure test the new tank before you put it in?

Asdren Hadri says:

good video. music a little too wild for the project :) but very nice. btw that’s a secondary air pump for your emissions. i worked on these quite a bit and hate to do that expansion tank.
