Kenneth Sibert says:

How do you know you need a transmission mount I have a C4 too

yjmsrv says:

Maybe a stupid question- but what's the point of this mod? It looked like the original factory mounts were fine- what is this supposed to improve? Does it shift better or get more power to the wheels? I don't see how it could do either. Otherwise excellent video and I love seeing how you're making the most use of the small space you have to work in. Reminds me of Anthony's from AMMO's first garage with his 964. Nice to see a fellow Porsche guy wrenching his own car.

Voncid says:

Thanks for sharing Jacob.

Doughnut Spaghetti says:

Good video! About to do this on my 964. Would be a good time to take out those support / carrier bolts one by one and put on a little anti-seize on them. How has the shifting and noise vibration changed? FD is a great company. Have you tried out their C4 short shift kit? Well worth it!

the_aircraft_mechanic says:

Great video… thanks for the upload. Would you say this is almost exactly the same process on a 964?

Tony Izzo says:

Great video!  Just curious, did the FDM mount come with instructions?  I don't see any on their website, but I do see a link to your video!!

Layne Winter says:

Thanks for the advice. Mostly trouble free install.

Layne Winter says:

Any challenges? Advice?

Layne Winter says:

Did you install the Goldenrod yourself?

Layne Winter says:

Hi Jacob. Did you appreciate a measurable difference in the shifting with the Golden Rod, transmission mount? Did one mod make a bigger difference than the other? Any negatives? Thanks Layne

Maximilian Boost says:

Why not use the stock studs? As a rule they are stronger than bolts.Lovely clean car!

thedownshiftchannel says:

Cool channel dude! Good work

Colin Taylor says:

Excellent video, the best instructional video on the 993 and so well edited with ( glad you kept the music level reasonable)
great, clear camera work. Like ur oil changed video too and as I am about to change my oil I will check my transmission mount.
Why does your 993 have a little trap door in front of the right rear wheel (under the car below the oil tank drain plug) and mine doesn't ?
Looking forward to more.
PS. Did you do a video on the golden rod?

Princess Peach says:

The thing I love about the new dynamic mounts on my 981 Spyder is the ease. On my old TTS I'd have to put in a mount insert to really stiffen up the whol edrive train. Made a huge difference. But on the street idling at lights your teeth would rattle loose. So I'd put the car in neutral (DSG) and always forget to put it back into gear when lights change and look like a goose as the engine revs on green with no movement.

Now it is best of both worlds on demand!

Anthony Craig says:

What hydraulic lift are you using?

Joshua Wakeley says:

You know you have the perfect 911

Ryan Little says:

Always an honor to have my music in your video.

Clément says:

Salut

Je suis en france et je te suit sur Youtube depuis tes premieres videos. C'est un bonheur de voir ce que tu fais avec ta porsche. Continu comme ca !!

Bye

Matt Lennox says:

Great video! Very in depth and informative. I'm in London and curious where you got your lift from and shipping costs to Toronto, I can only assume london shipping wouldn't be a whole lot extra. Thanks in advance!

Capital 993 says:

Just a thought, why not use hockey pucks on the lift pads so you don't have to remove the plastic trim under the car when lifting it? Love the videos! FDM makes great products.

frederic auerbach says:

Indeed, good video. I'm happy with FD Golden Rod and ssk in my '97 C4S, and not sure if this lovely looking and well priced piece is needed? What are the impressions of having this piece in place? More vibration, noise?

Frank Armstrong says:
