How to Replace the Belt on a Porsche Boxster 986

Replacing the main drive belt is part of regular maintenance on any vehicle. If the belt is cracked, torn or starts to squeal it should be replaced. It should also be replaced about every 40k miles or so.

its a good idea to start the engine before you cover everything …just to be sure…its also a good idea to check the water pump and the pulleys while the belt is of to make sure they are all running smooth…

When I replaced my belt, I turn the engine over before I replaced the Fire wall cover & carpet. Just to check alinement.Look forward to see some more projects. Ed
