defeats the whole idea of not having to remove the rotor now doesn’t it?
Brake skimming is a Porsche approved process. All UK franchised dealers
have a machine. For an independent workshop in your area google Skim My
Discs. The process corrects lateral runout to an accuracy of 0.025mm (1
thou)
They bought this car for £1000 and, after a great work, they sold it for
£6400. The question is: in which world you can buy a Boxter S for 1000 or
6400 pound?!?! It’s ridiculous! Here in Italy, the worst Boxter S, cost
about 20.000 EUR!!!

that disc looked warped?
If you’re over in the United States, there are plenty of automotive parts
dealers that will have a brake turning service where they cut disk and drum
brakes like this for a slight fee. In my area, it’s usually about $15US per
rotor or drum. The thing you have to keep in mind though is that if a rotor
or drum is warped or damaged too badly, they can’t be saved. There is also
a minimum safe thickness to a rotor and maximum inner diameter of a drum
that you should be aware of.
the hardest part is removing the caliper, after that its just two phillips
head screws holding the disc on. remove the disc and take it to a brake
specialist, it was approx $60 AUD to machine all 4 rotors.
