If anyone watching this is wondering why their side marker won't just slide off like in the video it's because if the side marker has never been off before it will not come off easy the first time. Once you have it off once you can easily slide it on and off like in the video. However, for the first time you need to pull forward the part that faces the rear of the car a little then use a plastic pry bar on the part that is toward the front. You will hear a pop and actually think you broke it but that's just the clip releasing. Then you can slide it out. It took some force. To put it back in you just do the opposite and it should snap right back.

Hi I just needed to replace the bulb in the left side marker of my 911 Carrera 2013. Getting the side marker off was a pain but I was able to get it off by watching your Youtube video. I could not figure how to get the side marker back on the car to fit snug. I know I didn't track anything taking it off and I am wondering if there is some type of notch on the fender that the metal clip is suppose to bump up against. I took my car to my mechanic who works on Porsches and as far as he can tell it looks like there mush have been some little plastic notch the was on the fender that might have broken off when I too the marker off. The thing is I was carful and was not trying to use a lot of force to remove the side marker. I am taking the car back over to the shop one day next week and they are going to use some type of adhesive to make the side marker sit in place and not move. I was wondering if there was some little notch on the fender near the wheel that the clip is supposed to bump up against. I do not want to take the other side marker off to see if there is something on the fender that is now missing / broken when I took off the left side marker. Thanks
