Here’s a quick demonstration of how to use the string method to install a 944 rear quarter window. I’m sure this method applies to other window types, too.

genious!! I bet this is exactly how i can install the window in my 94 jeep
cherokee.
Nice vid. Thanks for sharing. I usually use two flat screw drivers and
start from the tight curve in the rear. BTW, I noticed the backstays on
your roll cage are bent. Don’t know who you race with but, this isn’t a
legal cage in NASA.
I’ll be damned! I will have to try that nex time I have to pull out my rear
windows on my 944!
Nice vid, if you like German cars and all. But seriously, nice stuff. I’ll
be eventually getting a new windshield on the TR6, will be using the same
method. Make more vids!
Transmission cooler?
This saved me a ton of time using a screwdriver and a scraper blade… This
IS AWESOME! thank you for sharing the info. You helped out a complete
stranger today! 🙂
Thanks to share it [top]
So why is the vent curved to draw air into the rear of the car? I thought
the purpose was to draw hot air out of the cabin
i always wanted to know how that was done. i need to replace that very same
window on my 924. does the string trick work for glass too? i also found a
window in a junk yard how do i remove the window without breaking it?
