FULL STEP BY STEP

Step 1: Remove the headlight using a Torx T27 screwdriver.

Step 2: Wash and clean the headlight in preparation for sanding.

Step 3: Start with the 500-grit sandpaper from the 3M Kit. Sand the headlight until you achieve a milky finish. The Solstice or Sky headlight will appear dull at this point.

Step 4: Switch to the 800-grit sandpaper and continue sanding the headlight. Slowly work the surface until the milky finish becomes more of a frosted tint. Wipe the headlight periodically during this process.

Step 5: Use the 3000-grit orbital wheel to further refine the headlight. Work the surface until you achieve the desired results.

Step 6: As an optional step, you can apply Meguiar’s Polish to a red foam orbital wheel at 2k to 3k RPM. Be careful not to create swirl marks on the headlight.

Step 7: Clean the headlight with 100% isopropyl alcohol or a residue-safe cleaner to remove any residue or polish.

Step 8: Apply a 2K Clear Coat to the headlight. Allow the clear coat to dry for 24 hours. Avoid exposing the headlight to water during this time, as the clear coat needs to fully cure.

Step 9: Reinstall Headlight and Buff with RED Orbital Wheel with Maguire’s Polish for added Clarity.

Please note that performing these steps requires careful attention and following appropriate safety measures. Make sure to consult the instructions provided with the specific products you are using and take any necessary precautions.
