You are very welcome.. I’m glad it has help you.. If I have any other things I come across for the Solstice, that seems to have an easier way, I will post more videos. about to do a brake job and maybe add some dust covers.. So I may have to see how hard that is.

Thank you for this video. Great job providing details about the job. Mr. S. Roebuck has a 10mm wrench with a pivoting wrist near the ratcheting end. Perfect for this job. Thanks again.

Thank you for the post!! I just spent about an hour taking most of the fender off before I decided to check on a video. I do need some other tools (ratchet wrench) but I think I can get it done. Besides I have 3 surgeries to do tomorrow and can’t buss up my knuckles any more. I’ll get it this weekend. Aloha! Dr Mark. Hawaii

Hey Whoiitcc69, You are my new best friend!! Your video allowed me to remove my battery in less than 20 minutes! I had NO idea how in the heck I would get that thing out of that location in my car. After watching your video, it was simple! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would still be scratching my head if it weren’t for you!! Awesome video!!! Thank you again!!!!

Thank You……..I used your technique, but changed it a bit as I have air tools…..Again thanks a ton.

DeathScouter says:

VERY helpful. What genius made a common-replaceable part like a battery so hard to get to?

Thanks

THANK YOU SOO MUCH !!!!!

That was a very helpful video, saved me a bunch of anger and swares. One thing I found was if you removed the bottom bolt vs loosen, it makes it much easier to get at that very difficult bolt referenced as the fender becomes more flexible. Putting the battery down there is terrible design, especially when there is slack in fender make up making alignment difficult. No wonder the bums at GM went bankrupt.

Helped a lot. Thanks!

Thanks for your video. It helped me a bunch I also have a 2006 Solstice. I tried to follow your instruction but deviated by taking the fender of then also that steel piece Im having a problem making the fender flush and getting it back in place where it is supposed to be. Its kind of sticking out with a lip where the door and the fender meet. I will never understand why the hell they put there batteries down there.
