first off a 1000 dollars, how much are you overpaying, you can find the whole pump assembly for like $150 @ ws6store and the labor books have it at 4 hours to do the “right” way, even at $100 an hour thats still only 400 for install and most labor is 45-65 an hour.
ok thanks.
I did not seal it yet I just got lazy…I was so happy when I successfully changed my fuel pump and I decide a wait a little before I seal it, but I covered that hole with soft and thick piece of plastic so I cant hear that(pumping noise) while I driving. I’ll fix it someday…
First! You must know exact location of fuel pump before start do anything.
93-97 Firebirds and Camaros have same gas tank made of steel, and fuel pump located in a center of top (late models have plastic g-tank) like my, and it,s different…
Just do little research be patient and carefull..
I saved $ 1000 by changing my fuel pump by myself.. Good luck!
can you do that to a 96 convertable ?
how did you seal the hole back up?
