I was trying to post on your channel and couldn’t find a link or post
button or anything

1A Auto Parts says:

We do not have a wire diagram for this vehicle. You may want to post this
over on Thirdgen.org it’s a really good message board for the thirdgen
Camaros & Firebirds. Tell them 1aauto.com sent you over. Lot’s of great
tech help on these cars over there.

Alex Baca says:

@1aauto would a 82 pull down motor assembly fit a 91? would that affect the
wiring?

s7RRZ says:

My latch is not catching the trunk to pull it down, do you have any info on
the latch to catch to close?

john westendorp says:

i would love to see some foxbody mustang projects.

1A Auto Parts says:

@liljSCK We carry the complete motor assembly. If you need the all of the
bracketry to go with it, you may need to source that from a salvage yard.
Here’s a link to the Camaro pull down motor on our website.

If your looking for the slides we do not carry them

HowMuchILoveJuice says:

Thank you helped a lot thanks. Quick question. The plastic bushings that go
on the side of the component. Where do I buy them? All mine cracked and
fell off. This doesn’t allow the motor to follow the tracks properly.

1A Auto Parts says:

HI John, Thanks for posting. We’ll keep this in mind. 1aauto.com

1A Auto Parts says:

@joaquin2205 grease the slides (and make sure they’re still there and not
missing)

Nitrocide595 says:

Hey, I’m looking to ditch the pull down motor entirely and maybe go with a
regular manual latch. I hear the best way to do that is to pull one from a
car that HAS a manual latch… Does anybody know what year vehicles/
camaros had a latch I can use my in 3rd gen? Thanks!

M9semi says:

i replaced the motor but its still not making any noise or pulling down any
tips on what going on

1A Auto Parts says:

The issue could be with the hatch or the motor. The problem could be
related to either the motor not realizing the trunk is closed all the way
or the trunk could possibly not closing all the way causing it to stay on.

joe hdz says:

@M9semi did you check the plastic ger?

Baylen Whitfield says:

on my 91 camaro my trunk will shut down but it does not snap to the motor.
so even though is closes, a person can come right up to my car and open the
trunk without a key or anything. this problem also makes my trunk look a
little like its not alined right. do you think replacing the motor or
housing will solve these problems?

1A Auto Parts says:

@saldav420 We don’t. We do carry a brand new motor assembly though. Here’s
a link to them on our website if you would like to check them out.

1A Auto Parts says:

The 82 should be different from the 86-91 pulldown motor.

Lenny Rago says:

Hey where can I buy the plastic glides or plastic bushings?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may need to look in your local salvage yard for that bracket. It would
fit the aftermarket motor. The one we sell is shown in the video.

1A Auto Parts says:

You could test it with an ohm meter

joaquin2205 says:

it’s a very good video, i have a 88 camaro and i’ve been trying to fix that
pull down system. The problem that i have it’s with the plastic gear, i
changed it two times and the two the gears lost the helical shape, so the
rear door couldn’t lock up i don’t know why happens this, i’ll appreciate
any help thanks!!!

1A Auto Parts says:

The issue could be with the motor. You might want to remove the motor as
shown and see if it is function correctly.

1A Auto Parts says:

You can try to unplug it, and then plug it back in to see if the motor will
reset itself.

1A Auto Parts says:

If you have any questions, just post on our channel and we’ll try to get s
solution to the issue for you. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the dealer for the plastic guides to see if they can
get them for you.
