JUST WHAT I NEEDED. THANKS, YOU SOLVED MY PROBLEM. THE VIDEO WAS GREAT.
cabin air filter… i changed mine and my air flow nearly doubled. it’s
fairly easy to change and it’s located behind the glove compartment 🙂
@bizzydad67 Thank you for checking us out.
thanks guys.
Can you tell me where the heater core is on the transport?
Thank you for checking us out. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
@rngilley21 On most vehicles they are on the passenger side under the dash
board. You may want to check there.Hope this helps.
will do thanks
@w00dyw00dy I would first test the wire going to it to see if it has power,
also check the fuses.
Your videos are a great help. I have a 2002 montana & the high speed (5) is
out. Would this resistor be the problem or the fan motor? Is there a way
you can check the resistor to see if its good or not to know if its the
resistor or motor? Thanks
love the videos. really helpful. do you have one that can help diagnose a
chevy venture that hesitates or hiccup when at idle or low revs? it seems
more evident when the A/C is on. thanks
Love the videos, they are a great help. The high speed (5) does not work in
our 02 montana. Is this resistor usually the problem? Is there a way to
check this resistor to know if its the fan motor or resistor thats bad?
I really loved this video, especially the part where you said removal of
the rear screws in the resistor block wasn’t necessary. I got the job done
in about 30 minutes.
@FaradayFisch You’re welcome. Have a great day!
It controls the speeds of your fan. If you have lost a few of your speed
settings on your blower, usually a bad blower motor resistor is the culprit.
I have heat but it is very minimal due to the air flow.. What would be
causing my air flow out of the vents to be so weak?
It sounds like the blower motor resistor may be the issue. If it does the
same thing on the heat settings, it should be what’s causing the issue.
If you have lost some of the heat settings, you may have a bad blower motor
resistor.
does this work…does heat come out when you use this part
My wife now loves you. I on the other hand, am sore from bending backwards
to replace the resistor block. Just to let you know, you saved us about
$100 and we appreciate it. Thanks.
If the resistor is broke on your vehicle, then yes a new resistor would
more than likely get your heat settings back, unless there was an
additional issue with the system.
I have 99 Olds Silhouette and the blower in the back of the van went out,
any suggestions on where to start? Elizabeth
good video
good video ,thank you
@bizzydad67 Usually the lower settings tend to go first, but the blower
motor resistor more than likely is the issue.
@1aauto Replaced the resistor along with replacing the cabin filters & high
speed works great . Thankyou.
I just went outside and played around with things. All the speeds seem to
work ( I feel the air flow increase as I adjust from 1-5) but it is a very
weak airflow. I did notice that when I changed the temp selector to cold
the flow seemed to increase more, but it is still very weak, can hardly
even feel air coming out on 5 setting.

out of top vent) the air flow increases to what I feel is the norm for each
selected level. Thank you so much for the help.
thanks
@bizzydad67 A lot of times when you loose the blower motor speeds, the
blower motor resistor ends up being the culprit.
Always good videos but maybe a lazer pointer could help you point out spots
you are talking about? Thanks for making repairs easy.
