This works EXACTLY how the guy says. Watch it on your phone pausing step by step. Look CLOSELY at how the corner of the bumper is behind the headlight assembly before he makes that last pull in which you hear when the B.S. clip pops. Took my roommate and I 10 minutes top to bottom to replace one headlamp. I love this man!!
Sooo, I didn’t have that much trouble removing my headlamp to replace my bulb 🙂 Must be because I have become an old pro at changing my headlights every 6-8 months… I will never buy a Pontiac again… Good thing they aren’t made anymore!
I built that car and yes they really made it a pain in the ass to change the headlights. Did you ever get that post to click back into the clip? Lol I pushed like hell and couldn’t
get mine back so they just rest in the holes…
Take a small prybar or a large flat head screw driver and wrap the tip in electrical tape. then slide it between the headlight and the fender give it a quick twist and it pops free of that clip. Then you can slide the headlight between the bumper cover and the radiator and pull it out the side of the car. I’ve done 3 so far this way. You still have to undo the clips and the two 7mm headed bolts though.

dude i totally agree with you gm fu#$@d you in this one it took me the same amount of time to do mine and i hated every min of it and i figured out the same trick you did it truely works great just dont forget to put the cap on the back of the light like i did

When I saw “redneck” I figured you would’ve taken a baseball bat to the other headlight to make both lamps “burned out”. However, you just saved 3hrs of my life so huge props for the video! Not gonna lie, another 10mins working on the light before watching this video I would’ve thought about the bat myself.
I just went out to change the bulb in my gf’s G6 and took one look at it and said WTF were these morons thinking, this whole front bumper is going to have to come off. Glad I decided to give it a Youtube attempt first, watched this vid and went out there to do it this way and BOOM, came right out. Took maybe 10 minutes start to finish. Thanks!!!

I literally opened the hood, stared at it for ten minutes and closed the hood. I finally had some time and youtubed it. I had this changed in less than 5 minutes because of you thank you. I made my wife wathn
