when you go to mechanic you will not get that extra attention. when u do it yourself, you will clean the throttle body, dab the plugs with anti-seize, clean the battery bolt and dab with vaseline, replace the wires, replace the pcv valve and replace the air filter since all was very accessible and you care for your car.
did u use a flex head ratchet?

Nice video, only thing I’d add is what I do any time I’m removing a spark or glow plug: blow compressed air around it before removing to keep little nasties out of the cylinder. With the MAF removal as part of the process, great chance to use some cleaner on it too.

I just changed the plugs and wires on my 07 Rendezvous 3.5 and I tell you, what a bitch job that was. I had to change the altermator too which required pulling out the wiper motor assembly, the fuse box. As for the plugs and wires, fortunately I didnt have to loosen the motor mounts but I did basically have to feel around to do the job but surprisingly the back plugs and wires came out rather easy and I didnt have a problem getting in there once coil pack and bracket were outta the way.
I found that an easier way to do this is by going underneath the van by jacking it up, and you have clear view of the back side of the engine, the space is kind of tight but I did the back three in 30 min. this you don’t have to mess with disconnecting everything.

Thank you sir your video made it so clear cut I breezed through this only to find that yep I should have used Iridium plugs I used the autolite double platinum plugs and she ran like crap I didn’t even move her. Ran and got Ac delco iridium plugs and now she purrs like a kitten again. Thanks for saving a single dad money I totally didn’t have to pay someone else to do it.

This has got to be the stupidest vehicle ever made. Why didn’t they make the dash panel over the engine removable? No wonder GM needed a bailout.

I’ts actually easier the way shown in the video. The exhaust pipe is in the way trying to get it from underneath, especially if you’re laying on the ground. If on a lift, it’s possible to get it from underneath, but I think it’s still harder then the video method, and you may have to unbolt the exhaust pipe from the manifold. You risk breaking the bolts when you do that, since they’re usually rusted out and jam up.
will your method work on pretty much on any mini van set-up like this, sure seems alot easier if you can get it up under there from the bottom

If you’re only changing out the plugs, you can do it by feel from under the engine. Crawl under the van, run your hand up between the exhaust manifold and the rear of the engine. This allows you to access the three in the rear without disassembling anything. Doing this took me about 10 minutes.
My dad and I actually changed it about 3 weeks ago. We got the engine set-up like you showed and it did roll forward but not as much as I was expecting even in neutral. But there was more then enough room to work and it would have been impossible without finding your video. My manifold was different with larger rounded ends and one of the top bolts on the module was next to impossible to remove but we finally got it. Following your video really helped, thanks !
