Ok so i took the whole cigarette lighter apart and found this white
attachment to it with three sockets( does that need to be connected to any
other wires) ive never had the lighter working for me so that’s why i ask
you.. Should i find that white attachments at a junkyard.
i have the same problem with my grand am 1999. i already installed the new
fuse (20) but no luck, should i buy the new cigarette lighter socket??
THANK YOU I HAVE TO DO THIS TO MY CAR.
lol i went to auto parts store and it only cost $1.53 after tax. question
is though, how do i make it the lighter plug only on when engine is on?
Very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks bro!
what fuse is the one for the rear license plate light?
I bought my grandam either a year ago Sept or 2 years go this Sept, well
needless to say, I never had my cig lighter working befor now. This video
walked me right through it, the things I had to get was a new cig lighter
mine was all corrodided, so I went to my local Gm dealer, and they gave me
the part, and I had a 20 amp fuse, so this whole process was done FREE, and
it only took me a matter of 5 mins after watching this. Great do it
yourself video.
You do know that the fuse panel near the driver and passenger door have
spare fuses right?
@TheAbbyhernandez yes you can check inside of your socket make sure nothing
is stuck inside, then get a OEM version and you need to fix it if alot of
work then take it to a shop
TY, i search a lot and just find it with your vidéo, it was helpfull 😀
This video is amazing. It was just what I needed. Thank you for making it.

Thank you so much..I am a single parent and have a hard time getting
someone to help me with little things like this…I went to advance auto
they didnt want to help me and then went to a electrical place and they
wanted to charge me $60 to just look at it..I watched your video and
changed it myself and now my lighter is working..thanks again
I am trying to replace it on my 2002. Thanks for the video. There an’t any
good shops where i live, they all want 100$ to even look at it.
thanks broski
@TheAbbyhernandez you can find it in junk yard too, or get an OEM that’ll
do the job
But it popped for a reason so I would tend to that
