thanks for the clip ( one of the better one i have seen so far ). The second part, installing new shoes ) was too fast. I am sure many people wanted to see the install part steps too…but it was ok. I will try your steps on my car…cheers

Yeah it was a pain I hate drum brakes especially ones like that, I struggled for a while with a pair of pliers and a flat head screw driver lol
yah those bigger springs were definatly still in good shape lol.. i used a screw driver with some length to get them seated.. ill be doing my dakota’s back brakes soon but they are “normal” retainer springs.
The big spring broke on my neighbors car and I had to replace it, damn that thing, the front calipers locked up at the same time. the goof that did his brakes a couple days before put too much fluid in it
