this might be unrelated. I see you removed the motor mounts. do you need to
support the engine? are the mounts hard to line up when you have to put
them back? I have a 2001 GT. Would like to replace the front valve cover
gasket as it leaks oil. Thanks for posting.

Thank you very much. I am about to do mine. I have taken out the airbox in
the past for K&N air filter and if you pull the whole airbox assy out, it
is easier to move the whole harness up since there is a MCU or whachmacalit
inside the bottom of airbox that can be removed easily. Anyhow, muchos

The motor is supported by a lower motor mount. You shouldn’t have to remove
the upper mounts but you may have to pull the pins to the mounts so you can
get the motor to tilt forward or back to give you more room to work with.
Position the dog bone mounts up that are still connected to the motor. Use
a 2×4 or some other block under the front tire to get your position set.
When putting the motor mount pins back in you’ll have to rock the car a bit
the get them to slide back in. Hope this helps.
