CONGRATULATIONS, AKE AND FRIEND OF BRAZIL, WHICH ARE THE USA AND SPRAYS YOU PRA WHAT PURPOSE.

TheSierra1983 says:

Maybe.

Rob Bradshaw says:

Hi mate great video is a c4 very similar I assume same parts?

Cleverson Mauro berteli says:

YES

TheSierra1983 says:

Here I use two different sprays one is the brake cleaner and another ceramic grease..

Damien Hogan says:

Can I ask what the spray you are using is.

Neil Drummond says:

I am a complete mechanical novice but just wanted to check which parts are the actual brake pads (my mot says they need replaced and might give it a go myself)

TheSierra1983 says:

Can`t remember exactly, worked there a long time ago but I believe it is. Basically disc brakes are all the same.

pidgeonplucker says:

Great intuative video, I have a pug 307 2.0hdi 2003 plate would the front brakes be exactly the same to change as the 207 in this video. as i could not find any video on 307 brake bad replacement.

TheSierra1983 says:

The brake pad itself is friction stuff and between the disc and pads are very big friction forces and heat also dirt from the road which can go between braking surfaces and wear them. And the brake disc gets worn out!
This squeak is often caused by sharp edges on the brake pad, braking surface front and rear side should be inclined 30 degree or so. Are these old discs groovy too?

29jimmy980 says:

How can the brake disc get worn out? i have a peugeot 307, I have changed the brake pads but there is still a high squeak sound when depressing the brake pedal, can it be from the brake disc?

TheSierra1983 says:

You`ll need a car jack different sockets spanners bench clamp wire brush or something to clean the surface from rust. Of course a ceramic crease and technical vaseline.

CiscoCLI says:

Can I do that by myself using the normal car jack? What do I need?

Stefan Jost says:

Hi, Hast du Bremsen Reiniger benutzt?

TheSierra1983 says:

Made by Würth.

Barcau Cristian Andrei says:

Can you tell me the name of the grease you use ?

TheSierra1983 says:

No such thing! This is ordinary brake job on this model.

Leggraphics Dom says:

Hi mate – When you compress the piston on a 207 with ABS do you have to worry about back pressure damaging the master cylinder ? Should you clamp the brake hose and bleed while compressing?

Thanks

TheSierra1983 says:

A new disk is always oily then I use brake cleaner. Brake pins require technical vaseline and ceramic grease goes on the brake pad locating pins or on the caliper mount(3:11) where pads move back and worth in tenons. Yes you need copper grease(ceramic grease is more suitable here) because important surfaces will rust in time, pads can`t move then and seized brakes are no good.

Mina Svilar says:

Which spray you use,is that BREAK CLEANER or?
And also i want to ask do i need copper or silicone grease?

CiscoCLI says:

Yes! That’s what I am looking for. Thank you very much.

TheSierra1983 says:

I have helpful link in video description: “Peugeot 207 Door Mirror Replacement Instruction Guide”. Check that out.

CiscoCLI says:

Thank you for your reply, sir. Had a small accident and broke my wing mirror. I bought a new one one from the Peugeot dealer and I thought I can do this by myself. I just don’t know how to remove the remaining part of the damaged one from the body.

TheSierra1983 says:

Spanner: 15mm, socket 13mm, torx T55 and can’t remember what for the disc. I was an
apprentice there, good memories.

Ryan Palmer says:

Hi great vid can you tell me what tools I need to get the disc off and to get the caliper off ? Thanks

Ryan Palmer says:

hi great video could you tell me what tools i need to get the disc off and also all the caliper cause i am wanting to change pads and discs but just need to know what i need thanks.

TheSierra1983 says:

I have never replaced it on cc but what’s the problem.

CiscoCLI says:

This is the kind of Peugeot technician you want to deal with. Thanks!

A small question, I am replacing my 207 CC wing mirror. Can you help me here?

mattmanslim says:

It’s nice to see a service technician doing a thorough job on brakes. Well done!

TheSierra1983 says:

Definitely more strength. Some cases even 1/2″ impact wrench can`t open them. So I go with an L-handle and long enough steel pipe.

TheSierra1983 says:

If you want to open these then anticlockwise.

TheSierra1983 says:

Thanks!

mrmichaelyoung1961 says:

Smooth brake change ,, nice cam work

Peugeot20714hdi says:

also will be an electric screwdriver good or jo need more strength? Thanks

Peugeot20714hdi says:

Hi which way to turn the T55 screws ? Clockwise or anticlockwise ? Because by hand they are too strong to turn. Thanks

TheSierra1983 says:

This is a ceramic grease and another is just a brake cleaner for the braking surface.

rooster booster says:

what is that spray your putting on
