hi mate after abit of advice i bought a car few weeks ago engine light has been on and off past 3 weeks its been in the garage for repair codes read and fixed apparently however light came back on so its book in yet again bare in mind this is coming out of my pocket , so here is my issue im far from a mechanic so have no idea what could be wrong but i thought this is why we take our cars to garages? i chose one with good reviews and didnt expect to be booking it in yet again surely these are qualified to find out what is actually causing this light to come on? is there anything i should be asking them to make sure checks etc are been made because its all good and well them doing the same thing yet again and wasting more of my money for the codes to vanish and to come back a few days later any advice on this?

Thomas Francis says:

Slightly surprised you didn't at least rattle can spray the black frame red before welding it on.

I used to work with manufacturers of insurance approved copy panels in Spain and Italy – they would hire a car, take it to pieces to copy the panels and then put it back together and return to the hire company fingers crossed they wouldn't spot what had happened to it….

What a skillful guy Chris is.

Nicholas Pearson says:

Really enjoyed this chaps, looking forward to the final outcome.
Funny enough my daughters first car was a 108 and unfortunately she crashed it after only 6 months!. Similar damage to yours as well. The insurance wrote it off , we took the money and she got a little Ford Ka. After seeing this one I’ve had a look online and her old car must have been fixed up as it’s back on the road and been up for sale!, wish I’d been watching your videos last year, may have had a go at fixing it up. Looked bad but obviously was fixable….
