Peugeot 307 coil spring and anti-roll bar link replacement.

Hi

This car came to me after failed the MOT, (Annual inspection).
It failed essentially due to a broken coil spring, and a damaged anti-roll bar link/stabilizer.
In this video I will take you through how to get them replaced at an affordable cost… after all the expensive part of this work is the labour.
In the video I also mention a Youtube channel that I follow, and advise you to go and have a look.
It is a great channel with very good videos, One Auto channel, hosted by Rob.

Good safety observations men! I would like someone to actually go over the spring compression part, it is potentially dangerous. I'm not sure how to remove the vent cover to access the top of the strut either.

I really like your repairs, especially diagnostics, the car will pass its MOT now but your friend should not replace just one spring, I know the money is tight these days but it is a really bad idea, you most likely ended up with 2 springs made by 2 different companies, also one spring is worn and the other is new, it won't do anything good for the geometry of the car. These banana springs are very powerful as well, don't remove the nut without previously compressing the spring as it may shoot in your face, the cheap compressors are no good and not safe, they also scratch the new spring which makes it vulnerable to rust and shortens its life. It is a lot better to find a friendly garage with a professional spring compressor that is happy to help you, remove the strut yourself and ask them to put on a new spring, they only charge you a tenner, it will be safe and you won't scratch the spring so it will last longer.
