Hello, I have a problem with my Opel combo life 1.2.2019 for 5 months now. I want to ask you if you have already encountered this or if you can help me. I am sending you a description of the work that was done on my Opel combo life 1.2.2019 and the parts that were changed.
The car has been since the first mechanic did it, after leaving the service station, when I heated the car to a given temperature of 90°, at idle only when the car is standing, the revs start to jump and after a while the car starts to choke. Then after about 1-2 minutes the engine light goes out and then the car runs normally. It only does this when the engine warms up in neutral when the car is standing still – the start stop must be turned off so that the car runs at idle. If the engine is cold, everything goes fine, as soon as it warms up, it starts to do this. I have also been to Opel in Michalovce and they told me the next day that my car is repaired. That the oil filler cap was not tightened properly. That it was drawing in false air. The diagnostics showed MISSING IGNITION. That the mechanic tested it for 40 km and it didn't do it and then he tested it again in the morning for 10 km and it didn't do it either, he told me. I paid the bill and went to the KE and at the first traffic light boom, it started doing it again and it still does it. The wiring Timing belt / chain kitwas changed, the engine oil was original Opel, the engine was flushed, the oil pump chain, filters, spark plugs, the ignition module, the solenoids, the variators, the oil seal, the valve cover, the water pump, the fuel pressure regulator, the sump was cleaned because there was a mess there, the intake strainer, it showed misfiring and the P1336 error. After replacing the cover, it only throws out the P1336 error and after replacing the cover, it did it for about 5-10 seconds and the engine stopped choking and the speed stopped jumping, but then it did it again and throws out the P1336 error. The compression was done while hot and the values were on cylinders 11,11,11.5 after 2 minutes they were 10.8 -9.5 -9.5. Can anyone help me with this please? I'm desperate.P1336
Engine misfire with risk of
permanent
catalyst damage, this was shown on diagnostics. Thank you

Glad I found this video as I've just used it to help me change the wet belt on my 2014 Citroën C3 II 1.0 towcar. Did it on the drive using jacks and support stands. Most parts from Autodoc in Germany but the cheap timing belt kit from ebay would not tension up as poor quality. Ended up buying a SKF kit from GSF with no issues. Many thanks for a great video!

Extremely well explained .Looks Like I won t be having a go at this job .I ll pay out whatever it costs .I want the crankshaft oil seal doing also the waterpump replacing ..or I ll buy an electric car and have done with all this very expensive work just to change a belt .These videos are great adverts for electric cars

@RedTruck-i6k says:

Best how to video I’ve watched. Keep up the good work.

Excellent Video! Feel very confident that I can do one of these now!

@mattball8995 says:

Fab video sir – almost makes me want to try doing this myself… I did have 2 questions – 1. Didn't see you torque up the sump, is that necessary? 2. No change of water pump? I thought most times a belt is changed it's worth changing the water pump whilst you're there.

I have a peaugeot 2008 crossover puretech 1.2vti year 2016 and they just changed a new engine from peaugeot here in malta and i checked oil its realy thin like water! And also the gears seems going a bit hard and rough to put them in is this all normal? And maybe still setting as new engine fitted? Whait your reply thanks! Also is this new engine better since it was consuming too much oil ??

@sydhughes6041 says:

Well explained and good detailed video.A1

@MrApplePieDude says:

Many thanks for making this video! Was perfectly detailed. Just completed the job, no more oil pressure light, perfect! Thanks!

@plobosantos says:

When replacing the timing belt, bearing, and tensioner, is it necessary to replace the pulley bolt, crankshaft bolt, and cover gaskets? I'm asking because I found a kit for sale online, but I'm unsure if it's necessary to replace the entire kit.

@djkrisek says:

Is there any possibilty that after this timing belt exchange ,abs/esp,voltage regulator fault can appear and which dissassembled elements could be a root cause (e.g crankshaft sensors?) ?

@josephberrie9550 says:

old cortina 1.6 or 2.0 litre engine cam belt £6.00 time 40 mins easy to do for any sensible driver with basic tools .. now 50 years later £150.00 for cam kit £50.00 for specialist cam tool fitting kit and £400.00 pounds for labour progress oh and £1000.00 for computer to dial in new parts

@htcdev9529 says:

what was the milage?

@ivanbojadjiskii says:

I am not a mechanic, but watching this video explaining step by step how to detach every peace through the heart of the engine, timing belt, I can now freely say that I can also do full service of the 1.2 puretech engine too. Every step is explained in simple way. Keep up the good work!
