heretic2012 says:

so the drain plug is where you loosened the bolt? and the control is where you pointed to briefly? will oil come out if i loosen the control plug, not wanting to drain, just to inject the additive without draining if possible

irina25661 says:

The gear box of the manual transmission has no dip stick. At 2:47 in the video I explain, where to find the control and the drain plug of the gearbox.

heretic2012 says:

great video, my gf has a 206 peugeot and the transition between gears is very rough. i have brought a revitalizant lubricant that is suppose to help with this problem. but i cannot find a dip stick, is the only way to apply this from underneath the car?

irina25661 says:

The video has English subtitles. If you don’t see them by default, watch the video directly at YouTube and press the subtitle button below the video frame.

jordan hacz says:

Great quality video. Even though it was a different language to the one i understand; imaging and demonstration was great.

kasmetski says:

Hello irina25661 and thanks a lot for the useful video. Can you please explain me which is better to be first – drain the oil from the engine or remove the oil filter? And when you finish and start the engine for the first time, do you have to turn it off when you add the extra oil for filling up?

irina25661 says:

In principle the temperature should be lower when the AC is on, because the fan runs permanently, It could be the thermo valve which isn’t opening correctly. The ligths my have a bad contact,

MalinKodithuwakku says:

great veideo, very useful. thank you. my peugeot 206 1.4l auto gear has a increasing heat. it goes up 100 when the AC or the blower is on, why is that? and also the “S” and “snow” lights starts to blink? pls can you tel me what are the issues. thank you.

irina25661 says:

It depends where the gasket is broken. If you have a leakage between the oil line going to the camshaft and the cooling water, the pressure of the oil is higher than the pressure of the water, thus the oil flows in the water.

If the break is between the reverse oil line and the water, the water flows in the oil and you’ll find a creamy dipstick.

As I remember, this engine the head gasket is the only place where water and oil come together. The engine doesn’t has a oil cooler in the water.

mitchell392 says:

Ok thanks, if the head gasket has gone would the oil on the dipstick be a creamy color or look normal?

irina25661 says:

I think it is the head gasket, another possibility I don’t see.

mitchell392 says:

My Peugeot 206 has oil in coolant tank but the car has been running great for ages despite this, anyone know what the most likely cause is? I don’t think my head gasket has blown!

Alex Ken says:

Ich habe mir heute den gleichen Peugeot 206 gekauft. Ich finde Ihre Videos Klasse! Mein Vater ist auch so ein Schrauber, wie Sie. Ich habe den halben Abend mit Ihren Videos verbracht! Weiter so! Sie haben einen neuen Fan. (Ich versuche mich an ähnlichen Videos, seit kurzem. Aber im Computerbereich.)

irina25661 says:

The filter should be at the tank but outside of the tank on the right side of the car.

MrBossmanboss says:

very nice video! i have a peugeot 206 1.4 Verve and i swear it has no fuel filter… its not under the door like on most citroens and peugeots, Do you have any idea where it may be? Inside the fuel tank?

ResidencijaZLA says:

It all depends on how many KM you car has driven. If its about 120000 KM use 10W40. Otherwise 5W40. The older the car the thicker the oil (NOT ALWAYS THE CASE)

irina25661 says:

I use 5 W 40 hydro crack oil, with a certification for my Porsche.

dad dada says:

Big thanks !

irina25661 says:

In a German book I found 160000 km (1200000 km in heavy duty) for the 2.0 l HDI engine. This is quite a lot, maybe it is a good ideo to change it in any case at latest 120000 km.

dad dada says:

Great videos!

1 question:

How many KM’s does the timing belt on a peugeot 206 SW 2.0 HDI last?

Deepak Ipe says:

can you please tell me what size of spanner I need to use for the drain plug? 24mm? or which spanner I need to use? please email me to deepu313@gmail.com

Deepak Ipe says:

Is a very good vedio, Thank you for this. I would like to know how you change spark plug of Peugeot 206? Also, If I dont have a space like you have where you can stand underneath the car what can I do? Using a Jack and going underneath the car is safe?

please reply..

irina25661 says:

Hi,

have a look on the video “Peugeot 206 How to change the timing belt”

breakaway4404444 says:

Hi, thanks for the reply, I will try to do that. Is there a safe point to jack up the entire front of the car?

DAVID LEE says:

very helpful ,can you show how to change the spark plugs of peugeot 206?and what is the measurement of the drain plug?..8mm square?

irina25661 says:

I don’t think that the clutch noise is normal. But a diagnosis from distance is not possible. The most propable source of the noise, when turning the wheel is a tie rod end. You should jack the front axis and have a look on it. Try to feel by hand on the tie rod end, if there is a click, when a second person turns the wheel.

breakaway4404444 says:

I have 2 questions for you — (1) My 206 has this sound when releasing the clutch like click-click-click – is this normal? (2) Also when I’m turning my steering wheel maybe 20-30 degrees from straight I hear this ‘click’ sound, I’ve taken it to my local mechanic but they say they can’t find anything wrong with it — any ideas? Thanks!

4weber15 says:

Prosto, łatwo, przystępnie- dziękuję 🙂

musikdoktor says:

There are English subtitles on the video! You enable the subtitles with the CC-button. If you still can’t see the subtitles, try it with a different WEB-browser. Google chrome for example works fine,
