i too had the same problem and its the clutch cable that need replacing,Not
the entire clutch which is what i thought at first! Just the cable.I am no
mechanic but i fixed it myself with a second hand cable i picked up which
cost me 25euro.Took a while but clutch works fine.
That’s the self adjuster. Try holding the clutch pedal to the floor, then
slip your foot off the pedal so the pedal shoots back up again quickly.
This is supposed to “Wake up” the adjuster an normally stop the slipping.
Fixed it for me. 206 1.4
its the self adjuster near the pedal. that crunch you hear is the cable
slipping through the adjuster. like someone else said… change the cable
(£40 new) and will be fixed.
