This engine doesn’t have a distributor. It’s an injection engine, where the timing is controlled by the Ecu. The Ecu decides when to spark based on the position of the crank.
The degree is when you turn a bolt or fastener round from Anny given direction ie one complete turn 360 degree or 180 degree half a turn or 90 degree quarter turn .

Doesn’t the sand paper gouge the aluminium head? Machine shops always provide a mirror finish to help with sealing.

The black sealer is a oil resistant sealing compound
And high temp past

Hi the sandpaper was 240 grit then sand agen 600 grit
For lube better with WD40
Or any kind of loose oil
