how much for each
lol what a dick!! “I dont care about this axle anyway, its being replaced!” (smushes axle nut in) …..”Probably someone who takes axles in for core cares” lool that made me crack up
Thanks Eric! Lots of help.
No doubt that’s the U.S made craftsman breaker bar,I have the same 18 inch one & it has unbelievable strength. The china made craftsman one today wouldn’t hold up too well
its 2013 ..its insta gram now….
is this exactly how you do it on a old golf 2 ? 🙂
great video!!
That pipe+breaker bar is totally ripping off Marty from MCM. Not that I mind. They’re almost as awesome as you, Eric.
can someone please help me on this.. i have a 2004 neon that i replaced the trans in. i got the car running and only one of the trans axles move. there is no grinding noise the other shaft moves fine..
Hey eric i have a kia rio 2003 and i wanted to know if the axle pulls out from one side is it okay to just push it back into place if it doesnt look broken.
Hi Eric, I need some advice, got myself a clio 1.2 cl, and i’m hearing strange noises coming from the front left of my car but it goes away when i’m turning right, could that be the bearing of my front wheel or axl or both? it sounds like a tapping noise and speeds up when I speed up my car, so it’s gets very loud when i’m driving. I already know how to replace both tnx to your video’s, you’re an awesome teacher btw, i just don’t know what to replace, that’s why i’m writing 🙂
I’m replacing the axle on my 1998 eclipse and I wish I watched this before I got my snapped in half axle out …. would have saved me 2 hours … anyways using a hammer to hit the axle from the roader isn’t the best idea I’d get a axle puller. I got one from my dad. Its a lot easier!! Not how expensive they are but its worth it. And yes I’m a girl that works on her car and proud of it!
hahahaha “Get mad, tell me I’m wrong.”
Dude cracks me up
Thank buddy! Your video is very helpful,
you shouldn’t need to use that much force. like he said you must keep turning the shaft until it lets loose it took me almost half an hour to get my driver side out.
Do both axles look the same on each side?
thanks for sharing
hey how much space did u have in between that inner axle side and the transmission?? was it all the way in? because mine sticks out like 1/4 inch…it wont go further…is this ok?
Can you show how to replace a cv drive shaft seal? Referring to the seal located on the front differential .
Hello, I recently purchase my first car, a 2006 Chevy Impala LS, and after 6 months of having it I noticed an odd clicking noise. The mechanic said it was the CV joints and quoted me a price. I just watched the video for the front wheel axle replacement. I need to say thank you because you saved me close to $135 (close to $205 Total) I watched your video where you explained perfectly in simple terms and now my car is no longer clicking. So, I would like to say thank you so much. You’re awesome!!
if that axle is to be used for core you will not get your money back
Girth=Circumference
do you have replace axle seal video on accord 2002??
For my neon, I dont even take the balljoint off… I just take out the strut-spindle bolts and you can pull the axel right out of the spindle. Much easier I think, But good video
Jeez, I spent two hours trying to get one side of mine out, the passenger side pulled out by hand no problems but drivers side is stuck fast. The car is sat outside on the axle stands as I couldn’t get the drivers side shaft out. Really annoyed with it!
do you have any vids on replacing the axle seal?
Great video! Easy to follow. Thanks Eric!
Good video for mech trying to learn to fix their pov’s

Does the tire alligment go bad when you raplace the axle? Thank a lot
