Here’s a short and simple guide on how to remove the ECU from a Peugeot 207. This is also fairly similar for lots of other Peugeot and Citroen Models.
Once you’ve removed the ECU you can post it to HDI Tuning for remapping, or you can program yourself using BDM100 (please see my other video).

Hi Steve. Somebody is selling a peugeot 1.6hdi quite cheap. Problem is it does not start just Cranks. Would a faulty ecu allow it to crank even. Just asking cause had another car. Faulty ecu wouldn't even crank. Thanks.

Hi Steve, was going to change the fuel filter on my Peugeot 207 2008 1.4 hdi. For this you have to swing the filter to the right, but the ecu is in the way, lifted the ecu out but managed to short circuit this against the positive side of the battery. Unfortunately the car will now not turn over, have all ignition lights, checked all fuses, non seem to be blown, have I blown the ecu unit? What will it take to get this car running again?

Hello. I have a enginelight on the car. And warning text: Pollution fault. Problem, broken/fault ecu?? Can i take out my broken ecu. Buy a used ecu on ebay and just plugg it in? Or can the problem be fixt? Or do i have to get the car to a mechanic after i put the "new" ecu in? Thanks 4 the help. 🙂
