HOW TO: Lower your Peugeot/Citroen

HOW TO: Lower your Peugeot/Citroen

In this how to video, I show how to lower or raise the suspension on a torsion bar beam/axle. Usually found on Peugeot’s and Citroen’s.

There are other methods. This is the one I prefer, you may have other ways you prefer. That is fine. Happy modding!

Bee JayGee says:

It's awesome that you took all the time showing us how to do this.
With your great video tutorials, I managed to fit a second hand low mileage gearbox, clutch and gear linkages a few years ago.

have one question my car heater it not heating properly peugeot 306 1.6 automatic year 2000 and I changed thermostat what can be the other reason not heating do I have to flush heater core but when ever driving blows warm enough but when ever car not moving and engine on it not good enough warm

Rainer Gleba says:

You are absolutely right. The same applies to the 206. I just bought a 206 1.4i (TU3) from 1998 and it's still really good. I am convinced of the older Peugeot models and have already had at least 8 pieces myself. 205, 5 x 206, 406, 106 (208: is actually good, but no longer has any character).

Thanks. I have Renault clio mk1 1995. 1.2. And I want lower my car. But not to much. So I need buy shock absorber or my one original will be good?

James Lacey says:

I've watched this video about 8 times now, but still no more confident in doing it myself! My rear is too low for my liking, bought a refurbished axle and it was dropped 40mm, so I want to raise it by about 25mm so I can put my 20mm spacers back on.

Mark Jones says:

Very informative. I want to raise my Kangoo van. Well did lol sudden change of heart now unless you can do it?

CMR MS says:

Hi Piggy, Rozlan from Malaysia. May I know the ideal measurement to lower rear and front. By the way, I m driving Citroen xsara 1. Thanks
